No EDM on the line up , wont boycottt Ushuaia's opening but they should have put some House Music such as Louie Vega, David Morales, Dj Sneak & so on...a little too much Techno /Tech House for me
i was just kiddin....they never had any EDM for their opening or closing party...
I'm wondering this too. Will he be playing at say Ants or La Familia now?Got me thinking now.. Is Richie playing at the opening a random one off? Or a hint to further giggs there across the summer....

Yes I went in 14 and 15 and 15 was 100% much quieter than the previous yearNot claiming to know much about the EDM market.... But am I the only one surprised that Hardwell is returning to Ushuaia in 2016. I'm assuming on a reduced fee after last season?
It feels that the EDM/Big Room scene is dying incredibly fast. Ushuaia should be careful about having such an EDM heavy lineup. They felt some of that pain last year and will feel it even more this year.
Your spot on there mate I have the same views as you and same music pref bar I enjoy trance to. Edm is the stepping stone for most to other genres so it still needs its place and I bet Ushuaias bank accounts are healthy off it.I agree, while i listen to mostly techno and the tech house variety, I do try and listen to a little of everything to keep informed. It would seem to me that Deep House is still the kind of "it" sound at the moment. You have djs like Sander Van Doorn as just one example who used to play trance many years ago, who play pretty much purely big room/electro just a few years ago, now seem to be playing 80% deep house (at least from a listen to a radio show or 2 of his). It was bound to happen that the same old EDM sound would get stale, its sort of a gateway style to the overall umbrella of the electronic music. I dont know the numbers so i dont know how much Ushuaia "suffered" this year but im sure they have a "if aint broke dont fix it" approach. But Im willing to be they'll change up the roster next year if they don't draw.
However, I always thought for example Luciano's style was perfect for Ushuaia and if i remember correct the numbers didnt really agree. So i dont know what kind of tech house/underground sound would make most sense there beyond their in house Ants Party.
As far Luciano fitting Ushuaia I agree how ever I would kill to see prydz do a long set there
