If I tried to do that I know that i'd either a) trip over something pissed on the way out and fall over in a heap and get arrested or b) leave my bag behind with my name in.

So, if I understand the general sentiment in this thread correctly, it's more appropriate to steal from a chain store or restaurant than it is from a small operation? Because large companies... ya... they don't need the money, right? Not like anyone works there or depends on it for an income! Oh, and if the checkout girl or waitress catches hell for the mistake then so be it?

It was blatantly the shop/restaurant/etc fault so we were within our rights If the stupid waitress had been doing her job properly and had brought us the bill when we asked for it we'd have paid, if she can't get off her lazy fat ar$e to bring us the bill then she deserves to have us do a runner on her
