[UNVRS] Ibiza 2025

Just my quick thoughts on unvrs…
Didn’t make it to Sven and cox went to glitter box instead as we met others going.

We couldn’t get a taxi on Friday when a bus pulled up going to unvrs for David guetta so we were drunk and thought f*** it let go.

Initially the crowd was so bad and dangerously overcrowded. I told her there is no was I can make it until 3.30 when I thought guetta would be on.
Fortunately he came on at 2.30.
We have all seen the photos of the sea of phones and it was worse to see in person. It actually made me feel sick and sad. Most people were actually videoing the big screen of his stupid entrance even though he was literally walking through the crowd beside them.

However… after about 30 minutes of guetta a lot of people left (although it was still absolutely rammed). I guess they just wanted a pic or video.

As those people left the atmosphere was actually really good, there wasn’t too much phones at all and the large majority of the crowd were really going for it.
Plenty of cheesy sing along buildups and then big EDM beats. It was actually fun.

It was really good to see so many groups of people from different ages (mostly younger) jumping around crazy enjoying themselves, much more than iv seen in many Ibiza clubs including all the credible and ‘underground’ nights.
The atmosphere in the room was very full.

And it probably goes without saying that the light show and the way they changed the room using the LED effects was unbelievably impressive and mind blowing at times, even if the music was a bit Bert the night was really quite enjoyable.

Obviously I was expecting the music to be shite but it was no where near what I was expecting. I suppose I didn’t really know wtf I was expecting musically.

Would I be back at unvrs? Probably
Wouldn’t I go back to David guetta? No once is enough 🤣 especially for what we paid 🫠
 
Anyone go to Klangkuenstler Monday?

I've never seen him but I'm actually into his sound. Love the energy his gigs seem to have (plus more simple visuals). I prefer it to the Amelie Lens sort of techno. It's a little nearer the Dax J type sound, probably slightly higher BPMs.

From pics and vids looks like one of the better events at UNVRS for people dancing and less phones than usual.

We really thought Sven would be a tough act to follow for Carl but we were so wrong. He opened with Enrico Sanguiliano - Symbiosis, a real classic for us growing up and getting into techno. He followed this with:

There were others amongst this 3 hours of magic but we couldn't find them. He also played a beatiful trance track towards the end when the fake window blinds came up, sorry @jimmiz 😂, and it had some vocals we couldnt make out (Something about fading?) I dont like getting my phone out much but I clearly spent alot of time on shazam to try and get hold of some of the other piano house and techno blooters.

For me it was the perfect blend of old skool records with a few new ones thrown in as he spanned the best clubbing genres. At the end the music stopped and I think quite a few left, but with the remainder asking for 1 more song Carl returned to the decks to play Chemical Brothers - Do It Again (Massano Remix). The sillyness of the song and the high-pitched "all I wanted was a little fun" providing a final backdrop moving us and everyone around us to start dancing around like lunatics. Can't speak for others but there was no problem with atmosphere on this night!

On UNVRS itself, we had the pre-12 tickets so we could explore the club and its a very impressive renovation (although my mate called it Hi on steroids, I called it Privilege in a tuxedo) likewise the sound system is top notch and we found it easy to get around quickly.

Im 35 next year and whilst I can still fairly easily handle an all night rave, how much longer this lasts I don't know and any doubts were completely removed by two absolute masters of their craft. Thankyou to Carl and Sven for an epic reminder of why we do it 🙌🏻

I was in Unvrs on Monday for Charlotte. It was my first time for Unvrs. I liked it so much. It was busy but not packed like sardines. I enjoyed dancing on the stairs. I think Unvrs should have more techno next year. This place was created for techno 😄 I am so sad that i will miss Sara next Monday.
