Just watched a rollercoaster of a match between James Blake and Tommy Haas. The momentum of the match did more swinging than Chewie at a bathhouse.

Moments of great tennis along the way - Blake's returns of serve can be amazing when he's on his game. He looked on his way out in the 5th set after losing 8 games in a row (including the whole 4th set) but then rallied to take the 6th set to a tiebreak. A couple of errors by Blake in the tiebreak, though, and Haas pulled it off. :(

Haas joins Roddick in the quarterfinals. I fancy Davydenko, Moya, Djokovic and Chela to join them. And of course, there are Federer and Nadal....

Serena and Venus still in the women's draw. Henin and Kuznetsova too, but otherwise lots of up-and-coming youngsters in the quarters. Wouldn't mind seeing one of the sisters add to their trophy cabinet.

Cant believe those 4 match points Blake lost. Great match though.

Hopefully Nadal can beat his QF record in the US open this year. This isnt his favourite Grand Slam :?

I know... I don't think Blake got the ball back in court for any of those 4 match points. Out of character for him as returning serves is his strongest point. Really sad to see him go out :(
