Two questions I hope you can answer

Going back to Ibiza. Haven't been since 2001. Have two question:

We are staying in San Jose. I stayed in San An last time, and loved it. But I have a world wide time share and the only places in Ibiza for the timeshare were in San Jose. I know it's only about 15 miles from San An, but what is the town like there?

Also, what is everyone wearing to the island these days. I'm sure it hasn't changed much. But don't want to stand out like the typical stupid American. Yes, I said it. For the most part we all do act like jerks when we head east. Not me though.

Somone help a brotha out.....:D

Hi Jonas... US expatriate here.

Don't worry... as long as yo're not wearing a baseball cap, a backpack and a camera bag, you won't stick out (or a big flag t-shirt or something ). You're fine with a t-shirt and shorts/jeans/whatever.

As for San Jose, send a PM to Stephen, one of the moderators of this fine site. He can guide you to the nicest bars and cafes of San Jose, most of which I gather he frequents on a regular basis.

San Jose is about halfway between San An and Playa den Bossa so it's not too far to all kinds of clubbing, plus you can hit the southwest coast beaches quite easily from there (some of which are quite nice). You'll probably want to rent a car to get around but it's quite cheap (mine cost around 22€ a day, I think).

my village!!!

well im from ibiza and its my village! there is nothing much going there, its more relax type than party! san an is only ten minutes by car (5 mins with me) ibiza is 10 to 15 mins by car as well, but hey! san jose is a good pretty village and i love it!

We rented a car last time we were there. The island is fairly easy to get around. Thanks for the tips. Can't wait to be there (without the backpack and ballcap and 'old glory' draped around me:lol: )

Well, that is good to know. I think the place is called Club Cala Vadella. Heard it is really nice. Know anything about it?
