believe it or not, they are studying the possibility of making the 15km-long river run again!! :o
from the ibiza sun:

River Reform
The mayor of Santa Eulalia spoke last Monday about his desire to renovate the river area within the municipality. His long term proposals are designed to turn the area into the heartbeat of the municipal. The plans were a key part of the mayor's electoral campaign, and he revealed that a multi-disciplined group had already been working on the idea for over two months. The river in Santa Eulalia is the only one in the Balearics and runs for over 15 kilometres. Its source is in es Roig de San Miguel, just four kilometres from San Mateu, with its mouth at the beach in Santa Eulalia. The first part of the process, he revealed, would be a complete clean up of the base of the river which had been dirtied over the past years by a steady accumulation of mud. He revealed that his administration was keen to get the work underway early next year, but it would ultimately depend on the willingness of the Consell. However, after an initial meeting he claimed the response had been very positive.

Clue

The book was written by an American living in Ibiza during the Spanish Civil War and it tells the story of Santa Eularia and how its social fabric was torn apart by civil war.

Cosmis is now where Antonios Fisherman's Bar once was and the old Cosmi Hotel is now Hostal Central.

Yes I have a copy, dated 1937! Its a first print as well. Don't think it went into a second.

If you want a copy, there is one for sale on Amazon.co.uk for a steal at £14.95. Its a Hardback edition also.

There was talk of this book before on here, some people had read it,or owned it.

IIRC forum member 'caspar slides' who lives in Santa Eularia (in the summer)..:spank: said he had an old copy ?

Thanks for the Amazon tip, might have a look, although I tend to be a paperback kind of guy, squash and bend em into over crowded shelves.
