Chelsea to sign £16.2m Bosingwa

Chelsea have reached an agreement with Porto for the £16.2m transfer of right-back Jose Bosingwa. The 25-year-old Portugal international has arrived in London to discuss personal terms and undergo a medical, according to the Blues website.

We don't seem to have much luck with that right back position.

We've had some decent players... Paolo Farreira, Juliano Belletti, etc... but they either seem to lack ability going forward or solidity coming back to defend.

Some Portuguese commentator told BBC that we seriously overpaid for Bosingwa... doesn't rate him. I hope he's wrong!

Graciousness in victory is a virtue, Deano!

I'm quite proud of our season. The boys done well, despite all the injuries, the African Cup, and the upheavals. And people who said overpaid players like Michael Ballack weren't interested in performing were proven very wrong.

But Man U deserved the title, if for nothing more than consistency and flair. Cheers!

Apparently also offered double the wages Man U offered to secure his services (according to The Sun ) . A friend of mine has seen him play few times and rates him highly but not £16 mill though.

injuries, the African Cup, upheavals

I absolutely HATE IT when Chelsea moan about sh1t that ALL clubs have to contend with. It's not like the African Nations was sprung on them at the last minute, plenty of other clubs were affected as much/maybe more so (Portsmouth). Injuries!?! WTF?!? ALL clubs run the risk of having star players injured, it's part & parcel of football. DEAL. WITH. IT.

West Ham United are set to clinch a loan deal for Italian starlet Davide Lanzafame.

The 21-year-old striker is a product of Juventus' youth system and made his first-team debut for them last season.
But this term he was loaned out to Bari in Serie B where Juve legend Anontio Conte is coach.
And Lanzafame did not disappoint with ten goals which earned him a call-up to the Italian Under 21 squad.

West Ham are now set to agree terms with Juve for a season-long loan.
The deal is a clear indication of the influence of The Hammers' new sporting director Gianluca Nani.
The Italian was brought in to oversee transfer policy and he has wasted little time in sealing a deal for one of his country's brightest young prospects

we're getting linked with loads of people, bu i wonder how can that be if we havent got a fecking manager yet?

We talked about it this year because we were disproportionately affected.
We had almost our whole first team (8 starters) out at one point.
And I think, aside from Portsmouth (who was right to moan), we had the most players at the African Nations Cup.

I think we DEALT with it just fine. Caught up to Man U and kept the race going until the final day. :p

Here's one piece of good news:
Despite the Sun's attempt to transfer him out, Petr Cech says he has no intention of leaving Chelsea :D

The Sun have started to push now with the Drogba to Milan (either one!) today after apparently he was caught in a meeting in Milan when he should have been at the dentist in Paris!!!

Also Richard Dunne going to Ham which will clear the way for Ferdinand to go to Spurs no doubt. Also Anelka linked with Spurs.

Love all the transer rumours!

I'm wondering whether Barry is going to sign for Liverpool, the fact he's big m8s with Stevie G will probably mean thats going to happen. I think this might mean that Alonso might be on his way though which wouldn't be good:cry: I also can't believe how Crouchy has been treated...left out completely in the last game of the season in place of that pony-tailed bufoon Vorinon is surely that worse player ever to wear the shirt! I think we've got to spend some decent money on decent wingers...I'd like us to sign Bentley

I think Sean 'Crocodile' Dundee takes that honour! ;)
