Tracks for 2025

I think this Marian track is great! From what I've read here, "All Day I Dream" is not happening at 528 this year? Nor Playa Soleil?

Maybe it's just me, but I would love some context for these songs. Where, how, why? I love a story behind an amazing song. Where did you hear it? Why is it an "Ibiza" song?

For example (from above): HotLap - Waste Away

This song has character. Before you get too far along, you're introduced to heavy, overlapped, reverberated vocals. A whisper of a synth is teased. Filtered vocals accentuate a sound that is no longer there. I can imagine this early in the evening at DC-10, out in the Garden. Who's playing it?

Yuvèe - Outcome

I first heard this from John Digweed. This is playful from the beginning. As it begins, you can hear an opportunity for the sound system to prove itself. Punctuated pads and melodic notes fade in and out.

This is a post-sunset song. Something you listen to from a terrace, and know there are bigger and brighter things in store for your evening.

Yes, I like it too - there are more beautiful tracks on that 'All Day I Dream' spring sampler release imo.

Unfortunately there's usually no sexy background story to the tracks, at least in my case. My life's boring 😄 Seriously, 'Waste Away' I just found when checking my favourite artists and labels on Beatport, Bandcamp and so on. Same with the other tracks - I really like CIOZ' unique style for example. Except for 'AREA 3344': Another DJ played it at a party in Zurich last weekend. But I like the music productions by UVITA, Osfur, The Scripture and that whole producer bubble in general and can recommend. The track 'Sunlight' has been played everywhere for several months and got released recently, that's why I posted it.
Luckily Switzerland has a relatively big electronic music scene, so there are nice parties and festivals with international artists whole year. Tomorrow I'll go to a weekend festival called 'The Beach' in Ascona in the italian speaking part of Switzerland, with Michael Bibi, Martinez Brothers, Seth Troxler, Carlita, Frankie Rizardo and more. Will defo share here if I discover new tracks I like :)

My apologies! I didn't mean to single you out. What I was talking about could be a burden! You've given me a lot of recommendations to seek out. Thank you!

Generally speaking, for anyone here, if someone so chooses...I appreciate hearing about why these are "Ibiza songs". Or, why this should appeal to the people that congregate here. I assume that if you come to this forum and participate, your recommendations are worth listening to.

The above "Krystal Klear - Offenbach" track reminds me of something from the late 90s for several reasons: The repetitive, accentuated minor chords, the lofi production master, 909 snare rolls, and simplified structure. It's wonderful! Meanwhile, I could hear "Mitodzi" while passing by Cafe del Mar on a walk into the bay late on a Tuesday.

Don't worry, no burden at all! 🙌

Sorry to be 'that guy' but i guess someone needs to post this! Seems to be the darling of the social media shorts (at least on my feeds anyway!)
