Ok, this is going to be a bit tough. I was in Ibiza this past july for 20 days. During my stay, after i went to the espuma party in amnesia i ended up going another two times because i really liked the sets of mar t and les schmitz.

Anyway, in all times i was there there was a song that was played that stuck in my head!!! C'mon, its been a few months already and its driving me nuts. Well, the hard part is that i couldn't identify any lyrics or samples or anything. There was one part that seemed to be sung but i couldnt understand anything, appeared to be vocodered.

Well, considering the song played every time i was there and seemed to be a real crowd pleaser making the floor go crazy every time i'm guessing it might be some hit or something.

Any hints, ideas, clues etc. are mostly welcome cause this is really starting to haunt me, i'm afraid i'll start to have nightmares about this soon......

Thanks!

Well, if i had to reproduce what the sung part said it would go something like:

"Ae dega dega do" repeated a few times, than there was this sort of snare drum roll and then the whole music comes on, very strong with a really pulsating bassline which goes by two lower notes on the first beat, two higher notes on the second beat, and again to the lower notes on the third and high on the fourth.... and so on.

When this part comes on i can't remember clearly a melody at this point anymore but there really didnt appear to have one, it was more focused on this bassline and if there were any other sound it was pretty much following the same pattern as the bassline.

I'm beggining to think i'll die never knowing........ i even tried e-mailing dj mar t through his e-mail on amnesia's site to ask about this but i never got an answer, he probably read it and had a good laugh.

Thanks for the help but those are not it. I can see why you guessed those tunes based on my explanation.

Westworld has a bassline that stays for two beats on a higher note and another two in a lower and He not in has a bassline which starts on a higher note on the first beat and goes lowering on the 2, more on the 3 and more on the 4 then goes back to the first.

It would be something more like: low low(first beat), high high(second beat), low low - same as the first beat(third beat), high high - same as secon beat(fourth beat)..... besides the other parts of the music that i, well, tried to explain.

Any other shots in the dark are mostly welcome!!!

To be honest that description is a bit wack, could describe one of a zillion tracks... as ja the monkeh said, what other song does it sound like?

This is gonna sound a bit off but this part i'm referring to, the closest it reminds me of is to an Offspring (yes, the rock band) song called "gotta get away" from their album Smash.

Thanks for the help, but i'm really running out of ideas here. Don't know how else i can try to explain this. I'll try to find some other song that sounds alike an post here later.

I'd eliminate these form your enquiries (in order of likelehood)

Alter Ego - Rocker
Spectrum - Kinda New (Tiefscwarz dub)

or good ol'

Mylo - Drop The Presseure

Anyone remember that guy who posted a clip of a tune he recreated on his keyboard at home, it was coloursound - fly with me, best Tune ID thread ever!!

Maybe you could record yourself hum/sing/whistle the tune and post a clip here for us?

Would you guys understand if i drew a small score with the notes and everything?

Although I'm quite sure that I'm wrong, these words immediately make me think of the Eric Prydz mix of lola's theme

Well, the the sort of up and down going with the bassline would remind me of the bassline in DJ Terry - Ribambel, but much more fat and stronger.

And if it helps to narrow it down, it was a song that i ONLY heard in Amnesia.

Any thoughts?
