Allie & Stu
People Get Real are a Newcastle-based threesome, who currently have their minds set on global domination. Whilst they’re not quite there yet, they’ve certainly done a good job of making Newcastle their own over the past couple of years. Individually and together, they’ve appeared and held residencies at just about everywhere worth appearing and holding residencies at, including Nice, Disco Noir, Genre, Suono, Promise, Stereo, Fashionista (Apartment), Tokyo, North, and now Touch & Go. They’ve also been responsible for the appearance of some rather decent DJs in the cities of Newcastle and Leeds, like Bill Brewster, Charles Webster, The Unabombers and Robert Owens.
Musically, they’re known to take in house, disco, funk, soul, hip hop, and just about anything else it takes to fill the dancefloor. Recent Mixmag coverage has made forthcoming months look even more exciting for the lads, due to appearances at The Boutique @ Turnmills, and November’s ‘Come Together Weekender’, at Pontins Southport. Because of this, myself and Stu are ecstatically happy that they’ve decided to come and flash their trendy haircuts at our party.
As with the July party, we're taking over uber-stylish Coco V for the night (7 - 1). Selected beers are £1.50, and I'm sure there's some form of promo on with spirits too.
