of the highest order....

Now I know MoS have gone down hill over the past few years (imo) but to bring out an MoS exercise video with cheesey chart dance tracks is taking it to the extreme - did anyone see the advert last night on Living TV? :? :?

yes i saw it!

it's actually the 2nd ministry workout thingy.

ministry is so weird i think. the club and the label seem to have little to do with each other most of the time. the just seem to ruin their credible image!

Yeah the Saturday night club is completely separate from the rest of the MOS brand, different Marketing teams and everthing. It comes down to money at the end of the day and them wanting to be a massive global brand and globally there's only so much call for the 'credible' whereas the masses still want to purchase 'Ministry Guide to Crap vol 27'.

The Saturday Sessions club nights/Ibiza nights/CDs/singles are getting quite a strong brand in their own name now but for people that don't go to Ministry they must think the club is a reflection of the bigger brand.

That's what I was trying to say in my 'What's a boy gonna do - On his birthday....?' Post

I always seem to forget to check MOS - Think it has something to do with the corporate twice monthly cheesy double album releases 'Ministry of sh*te' that put me off looking...

I've since been informed Sander is playing Saturday...So I might go...

Do go! Ministry is a great club and not at all how you are imagining it to be ;)

BTW I've just had a look at the line up for that SEOne thing, and unless you are seriously into hard house and trance I would say give it a miss. Kleinenberg will be much better ;)

it was just so pathetic - looked like it was aimed at 14 year old boys to watch with a box of boysize Kleenex to hand.. Bizarre marketing ploy for an exercise video.... :D

Completely agree Scoobie, when the Box goes off there's no other main room like it :D

Ooooh good, we havent had a good 'ol Ministry thread for a while now.

In summation of the previous 15 threads on a similar subject

Club = Used to be amazing, now very good
Everything else commercial = Crap, not a fair reflection on the Gaunt St venue at all.

Thanks again Scoobie.

I do like some HH and Trance (Though, the House needs to be on the bouncy side preferably) Main reason I was looking at SEOne was somewhere new and different - And I also need keep an open mind for my friends that are coming out to play - Though after looking at the Flyer for Ministry and seeing the boat party I think MOS is nudging into the lead....

I should be more selfish and just do what I want to do, after all...It's my birthday

I agree with Barbie the Box is an amazing room, not too keen on the bar but the Box more than makes up for it!

I find the Bar too light and the music can be a bit too funky housey altho recently they did have Mutiny in the Bar and it was more going off. Anyhows normally I get on my podium in the Box and forget that there's another 3 rooms to explore
