Daley Thomsons Decathlon

I then got an amiga, had about 500 copied games and only ever played Sensi Soccer.

Yeah , the fantastic C64.

Lots of memories of trying to load games on to the thing on summer afternoons during school hols while my mum tried to get me out to 'get some fresh air ' :)

The graphics may not have been top notch but the playability of the games were spot on.

Ones I recall are :

Pitstop 2 - motor racing , you could brandish your hose and ram it into the car fuel tank. Very satisfying manouvre at the age of 11 that one.

Spindizzy - you were a sparkling diamond and hurtled around a mad surreal world taking off into the air every now and then. Good training for later Hacienda adventures.

Boulderdash - just the very very very bestest game I ever played on any system. Little diamond collecting ant who had to avoid falling boulders. I'm reaching a state of unsightly excitement just thinking about it.

Ahhh! Forgot about Jetpac. Great game. Or paperboy??

Does anyone remember 'Elite' ?

It was fantastic on the ST, but I had it on the Spectrum. Oh the days of being locked up in my room pretending to be a space smuggler.

Quick blast at old computer company names

Gremlin
Mastertronic (did all the cheapo ones)
Ocean
Activision
Codemasters (brilliant at sim games)
Microprose (did the first sliding tackle football game)

Any to add people?

Was a BBC Micro man myself. .........well it did help enormously during my HND in Computer Studies followed by my BA Degree in Data Processing ;)

..........and later Atari STE, still got the Atari with hard drive in a cupboard somewhere :D ..........and about a thousand disks full of games, utils, etc. Whiled away many an hour on Chuckie Egg.

Mainly used the Atari for music making with Steinbergs Pro24 followed by the early versions of Cubase...........and Virgin Records followed my progress for four years and have copies of half the music I produced. Came to nowt in the end.......... I broke off communications with them when I got fedup.

I used to love coming back from school and playing schooldaze, it was like one big academic journey. Loved the fact on that game you could change the teachers names into your own school teachers.

Did anyone ever manage to get into the safe via the conker tree etc!! Tough game!! 8O

Ye ar Kung Fu
Or something like that.

Did anyone ever play one called Deckers Wreckers???
You were basicallya paint brush painting the screen avoiding the baddies!!!

Then I moved on to the ST. Now that was a good machine!!
