Tong to Return to Pacha Fridays

I hope so! I don't think the bookings at Wonderland were suited to the San An crowd like Riva Starr, Luciano and Josh Wink etc....

I reckon Wonderland (or whatever it will be called) at Pacha on a Friday night would be a positive move.

Look forward too seeing the outcome of this rumour

Personally I think this would be a big shame and a bit hypocritical of Mr Tong who has always said Wonderland was about bringing underground clubbing back to San An. Don't get me wrong Eden is not my favourite club on the island but going back to Pacha would be a complete reversal.

he's a 50 year old has-been who plays U2 records to tourists

about as underground therefore as my attic

how much more than 3 years would you stick to a wrong choice you made ? :)

Fair enough. I was thinking more his guests though. Last year I saw Tim Green and Gui Barotto and it was pretty good....

$$$$$£££££€€€€€€ would be my guess at the reason for the switch.

That's Ibiza! However, brilliant move, and back to where he belongs. Tong still has the ability to be able to attract an up for it crowd and bring in the big names. Just look at the names that he was bringing in last year each week. 2000 and one, Mark Knight, Josh Wink, Layo & Bushwacka. Hopefully more underground guests as opposed to a Calvin Harris type acts. Be interesting what the new theme is. Is this the end of 'Pure Pacha', and a new era.....

Bit of a shame that he is leaving Eden are 3 good years. He was bringing new, quality music to that side of the island and soon enough might have even started to tempt some more residencies to San Antonio. It was a good eye / ear opener to many of the San Antonio crowd who might not have ventured out of the area as much. Hopefully someone decent, with a good reputation might see the opportunity left by Tong as a chance to carry on brining good music to Eden.

I seem to remember one of the reasons he left was because they wouldn't let him book the artists he wanted. Now cadenza are at Pacha their philosophy has changed a bit so I am guessing he will be booking similar line ups to wonderland over the last few years.

Pete Tong @ Pacha?

I've never seen Pete tong before. But i'm wondering if Friday at Pacha will be a good night? Anyone got any views??

Personally I used to love his nights at Pacha.
My guess is that this night will vary each week depending on WHO he has as a guest. From what I hear it will be him+ a big headliner each week, so I would make the call depending on who that headliner is. I'd imagine the guest would do 2-4am, and then Tong would do 4-7am....

Only guests that have been announced so far are Paul Oakenfold and Derrick Carter.... none of them do it for me, but hopefully we shall see some more adventurous bookings too.....
