Looks like Amnesia website beat defected to the announcement.

We can now announce our new partnership with Defected in The House who will join us on the terrace for 16 consecutive weeks.

Being one of the most loved electronic music labels , Defected residency at the legendary Amnesia terrace each week...

Great move.
Could be just the thing to breath new life into the brand.

Yeah good move I think! Will be fantastic to get a real good house sound on that Terrace. Has to be said Amnesia this season looks CRAZY! In terms tech/house nights, four SOLID SOLID nights! Though you fear they could be competing with themselves too!

Monday: Cocoon,
Tuesday Defected/Together,
Wednesday: HYTE,
Friday: MusicON

They should build an Amnesia Hotel next door. With these line-ups it is to good music what Ushuaia is to EDM!
 
Based on them keeping Bass acts in the main room, did the terrace not get the numbers last year at Together? Because Sander Van Doorn and co are pretty big names.

Officially the whole place is 5,000 (and I use the term 'official' in Ibiza VERY lightly). So assume you could get 2,000 - 2,500+ people on the Terrace?

I'm guessing (I keep saying that) that Together is 75% British Crowd (or am I way off?). Defected attracts a largely British crowd, so all in all they should do pretty well in terms of numbers I'd imagine.
 
gotta say I was also surprised when I first heard about it. but yeah it's a perfect fit, both together and defected are very UK-focussed in terms of following.

and on the terrace as well. Like SD says, its where it all started.
 
Hmm something doesn't quite feel right about this…mind you I haven't been to defected sine Pacha and they've obviously come a long way since then….they will be booking more of the likes of Eats Everything etc and the harder UK sound, can't see the likes of Morales/Dimitri from Paris playing the terrace much….and no place for Glitterbox
 
Well that's one of my nights sorted, together is a decent night, not really my sound but with sander van doorn on the terrace, I had a great night, very packed. Now defected as been added, this place will be heaving. Wonder what mk will be upto this summer? Will he still do nights with defected or have his own night elsewhere, (pacha) maybe?

They think it's serious but it's not - certain clubs like 338 in London don't allow it - better vibe all round

Is quite funny to watch though
