Bank Holidays… don’t you just love ‘em. Not only does it give clubland more time to get stuck in (well, even more so than usual!), it also means that we can go that little bit more, well, BONKERS! On Saturday 27th May, Together goes EXTRA LARGE as we present an extra special Bank Holiday Bonanza (open till 8am too!) and one of our biggest underground adventures yet.

Since launching as a monthly event back in January, Turnmills’ most prized Saturday night event has forged a glowing reputation for it’s original and genre-defying line-ups, themed parties and overall lunacy!! Headline guests have so far included the likes of Fischerspooner, David Guetta, John Acquaviva, Cassius, Greenskeepers and Roni Size, whilst we’ve recruited some the globe’s hottest new talents such as Trentemoller, 3 Channels, John Dahlback and Oliver Koletzki (with more on the way). The introduction of the new live room has also added a whole new dimension to Together, allowing us to book (under John Kennedy’s watchful eye) raw talent like **** Disco and Lethal Bizzle, plus of course we’ve had a right giggle along the way too with our random prize-winning themed ideas (Hat Brigade, Mothers Day and Aquatic) and a bellyful of laughing gas!

For Together’s May edition however, it’s all about the music as the sound system braces itself for the arrival of Felix Da Housecat, Nic Fanciulli and Justin Robertson. ‘Legend’ is a well over-used word these days, but in Felix Da Housecat you have someone who really is as big as they come in the DJ world. From the production genius of ‘Silver Screen’ to albums ‘Kittenz and thee Glitz’ and ‘Devin Dazzle and the Neon Fever’, Felix has always had his finger on the pulse. He’s recently collaborated with P Diddy and has remixed everyone from Kylie to the Pet Shops Boys over the years. Having not played Turnmills for a couple of years, the Together faithful will be out in force to welcome ‘Da Cat’ back in style. Acid house pioneer and Together resident Justin Robertson will also be mish-mashing his way through a number of sounds, before the final set of the night will be left in the hands of the unbelievably talented Nic Fanciulli. As a former resident at The Gallery (Turnmills) for 3 years in Room 2, Nic never once played the main room… so this will be a set NO ONE should miss. Under the Skylark and Buick Project production guises, Nic has crafted his own unique sound which has in turn made him the UK’s most talked about new DJ/Producer of the past 5 years. Together also welcomes Nic’s Club Class buddy, Sam Ball for an early electro assault to get the night underway.

A short shuffle down the corridor to T2 and you’ll find an underground feast of Europe’s so-hot-right-now DJ/Producers. Leading the way will be BPitch Control’s Tomas Andersson. The Swedish sensation has released his finest work on the German label including last year’s incredible ‘Washing Up’ track and he’ll be performing a very special Live Set on the night. Meanwhile, fellow Swede and Get Physical / Audiomatique producer Martinez will be dropping his own dancefloor bombs from the DJ booth, alongside London based Cass & Mangan and Anil Chawla. Cass & Mangan have become the remixers of choice, having recently sprinkled their magic on the likes of Tiesfchwarz, Miss Kitten, Infadels and Royksopp, whilst Anil Chawla is signed to Fanciulli’s Saved Records and is the man behind deep house monster ‘Disco Stew’.

Then over in T3, X-FM’s John Kennedy returns for his bi-monthly ‘Midnight Ramble’ – a rock n’ rolling night of live bands and cheeky indie re-edits. John’s special guests this time round are Denmark’s cult band WhoMadeWho, signed to Germany Gomma Records. Tipped as one of the most exciting live acts around, be sure to check out the band’s uber-cool punky-pop. Alternatively, ace bootlegger The Freelance Hellraiser will be on the wheels of steel, together with Kiss FM’s lively Loose Cannons, John himself and warm up Nikolas Esselle. In addition, the decadent Topfloor room (upstairs) will play host to its very own Village Fete featuring Face painting, a Thombola, Homemade cakes, party games and a bring-your-own-giant Vegetable competition!! TV theme tunes and 80’s pop will be spun by the Broken Hooker Deejays, The Scarlet Pimp, 10:4 Rubber Duckie and Mannequin Doll and if you fancy getting in the dressing up mood, then this month’s dress code is Scarecrows, Farmers & Worzel Gummidge! If you need a break from all of the above, or simply fancy having a right laugh – then Fishseeksbicycle’s Laughing Gas Bar should do the trick.

Going solo

I'm goning to be backpacking solo in London during this time. I'm from Australia but have heard great things about Turnmills and am really keen on going to this event.

I've heard that Turnmills has a dresscode. What's appropriate to wear on the night? Are jeans, a collared shirt and nice shoes ok??
