Tiesto @ Privelege

Tiesto will be there!

Tiesto will be in Privilege this summer 2009..... from JUNE till SEPTEMBER.

I just arrived back to Dubai from Cannes - straight from the plane went and saw Tiesto. Not spectacular however, in my view, no DJ in the world would be better coping with the sound system he had to work with.

Generally a good bloke. He played down one the malls here for free prior (albeit in the Armani shop at Deira City Center. He has a tie up with Armani however, this has raised tonnes of cash for carity).

I missed him last year in Ibiza as I came only for the closing parties and he was gone. Howevever, I am definately organising my trip this year to make sure I make it.

Quality dude.

I'll bet my house on the fact that he'll play a better set in Privilege than in an Armani shop in Cannes any day of the week!

It will be billed as - Tiesto in Concert

Announced on his website:

Tiësto will make ongoing appearances Monday nights at Privilege, starting June 8th and running throughout the summer until September 27. For a complete schedule check out Tiësto.com.

With over 8,000 people projected to attend each night, Tiësto fans will flock from all corners of the globe to experience the all-night dance parties that will ensue. A multi-million euro lighting, stage and sound production will create a truly unique club experience during this exclusive 16 week run. This production has been created solely for Tiësto's Privilege residency and will not be seen anywhere else ever.

This year, Tiësto will be previewing tracks from his upcoming artist album all summer long and if you want to be part of these exclusive drops be sure to buy your Privilege tickets early.

To add to the excitement, Tiësto will return to London this summer to perform for 25,000 people at an exclusive outdoor concert in Victoria Park. In addition to this show, Tiësto will be headlining Creamfields Festival at the end of August. These will be his only concerts in the UK this year, so if you can't make it to these, be sure to get your tickets for Privilege as they will sell out quickly.

Tickets start at €45 and are currently available for purchase at Privilege, Tiësto.com and Club Tickets. There's a reduced price of €39 up until April 30th. Tickets will be on sale at the door, prices subject to change. The tickets are on sale starting today.

Tiesto @ Privilige

What's the general vibe on here about it?

I only ever seen him at Cream back in 2002. He didn't even do a long set but what is his residency like? Seen clips on youtube which look quite impressive but looks like you're at a concert rather than a club.

I've been to Ibiza nearly every year since 2001 and Tiesto @ Privilege last September was the best night I've ever had on the island. If you like your trance then I would recommend it. I've been to the club before but never when it's been full and it was really impressive. Although it was busy there was still plenty of room to dance. Hadn't seen Tiesto for a few years but he was playing really good, driving trance all night. He has a big light show screen behind him which was fab. I actually had booked my holiday and then changed the dates so I could get to go to the Tiesto closing party. :D

Tiesto closing

what can u say. Great show. Unfortunately he sucked. He played top40 tracks that suited easy listening radio. His new nick name is top 40 tiesto.. Such a wonderful production but crap tunes. Kings of leon remixes.? Wtf? I was waiting for michael jackson remix it was the only thing missing. Lol.

Kings of leon remixes.? Wtf?
"I love my quirky indie music and found him very interesting.
"It might sound odd coming from a DJ but I am really into rock.
"A year ago I kind of lost the buzz of DJ'ing.
"I broke off my engagement to my fiancee and was feeling a bit low.
"But finding other interests has inspired me again.
"I like Keane and also the KLAXONS."
He added he might see Tom later this summer:
Tiesto said: "I will invite him to come to my closing party."
"I always invite the artists who play at Ibiza rocks because it is the day after my Monday set and they are usually in town.
"I play in six different countries a week but on Tuesday it is my day off.
"I always try and head to Ibiza Rocks."

 Tiesto is friends with Keane star Tom Chaplin

Was at the closing party and I partly agree with Jase.

Wasn't there all night as most of my friends had to catch an early flight next day but for the time i was there his tune selection was a bit all over the shop.

I understood why he started more housey, but then he'd play a very trancey tune followed by another housey one.. there didnt seem to be any structure to his set.
Having said this the lights and show put on was very impressive and the atmosphere was excellent. As we left the music was getting better, so this is a night i'd consider going to again.

After my glowing report on seeing Tiesto at Privilege last year I actually cancelled my tickets for the closing party. I saw him at Creamfields and the tunes were awful, worst I've ever seen him in 8 years. Had also read some not so complimentary reviews of this years Ibiza parties. Sounds like I made the right choice, especially as Swedish House Mafia closing party was fantastic.

hmm i was there for the closing party and i must say as big as a tiesto fan that i am, i was a tad dissapointed also. As it was a closing party i was expecting something special like a grand finale or something but it failed to deliver. The opening with him behind a big white sheet was very un imaginitve and compared to last years in search of sunrise the whole show lacked structure. Last years show had a consistant theme and the music and visuals fitted with that. And as for some of the remix's my wtf moment had to be little boots remedy......... no tiesto, no! will i see him next year? yes as when you see him beaming away and nodding along it sure makes me smile and as i was right at the front we did have a fue eye contact moments and at one point he actually responded to my mental arm waving by joining in with me :D i just hope that next year it goes back to his best so will just have to wait and see. Oh and as for the wa**er that grabed tiestos head phones out of my blokes hands we will hunt you down mwhahahahahahaha:twisted:
