i suppose i dont have to remember you who was the first person to announce,
back in february, that he would have a weekly residency this summer, right? ;)
 
as exclusively revealed on spotlight (and copied by the rest of ibiza forums and websites that never mention the source), he will do around 12 dates with a big production like last summer and accompanied by some very special guests..... stay tuned because all the details will be announced veryveryveryyy soon :!::!:
 
so...tiesto is touring in the US until june 30 (seen on www.tiesto.com) means in theory, that if he's doing every single monday after that and twelve in total, then he'd play mondays from july 7 until september 22! (just my guess of course)
 
Tiësto announces residency at Privilege, Ibiza, for summer 2008

For the first time in three years Tiësto returns to the island of Ibiza to host his own weekly residency at Privilege.

Tiësto will be the resident every Monday, starting on the 7th of July until the closing party on the 22nd of September. Tiësto will deliver his four hour deejay sets in the style of his ‘In Search of Sunrise’ series, everything dedicated to the atmosphere that can only be found on the Balearic Islands.

To underline its reputation as biggest club in the world, Privilege has set up a Tiësto customized event for his residency; complete with a totally new and future tech production, a newly designed and customized deejay booth, a full state of the art LED back wall, and the latest new design when it comes to light and video. All this combined with the sound of Tiësto will create an atmosphere, incomparable to any of the club nights on Ibiza and it will without a doubt deliver the highest quality night this summer on the entire island.

Ibiza has always been a source of positive inspiration for Tiësto and in 2007; he named the sixth volume of his In Search of Sunrise series after the island. "It’s the place to be when it comes to the most crazy and energetic parties", he says. "At the same time Ibiza has a lot of beautiful and still secret spots to be discovered, so my love and dedication for the island, its atmosphere and the party people will most definitely be felt by everyone who’s going to enjoy my residencies at Privilege. Knowing that I will play the latest and best new tunes available, all shows backed by the highly professional production of the club and the fact that I will be able to deliver this to the people in the biggest club in the world, well, you can’t afford to not come to Privilege on Monday nights this summer!"

The residencies will also feature guest DJs, all selected by Tiësto himself and some of the names that the audience can expect are Chris Lake, Andy Duguid (Ibiza debut), Mat-Zo, Cosmic Gate, Alex Kunnari and Sander van Doorn. There will be exclusive appearances by Fonzerelli (Ibiza debut), and Airbase. In the backroom of Privilege, Riley & Durant will present Electric Playground, supported by Galaxy FM.

Tiësto had two successful Elements of Life events at Privilege last year and he is looking forward to play at the biggest club in the world again. His residency will be the ultimate chance for everyone visiting Ibiza to experience the ultimate feeling of Ibiza together with Tiësto.

Weekly Ibiza Residency!
We're incredibly proud and barely able to contain our excitement in announcing that our clubnight The Electrik Playground will be hosting Room 2 at Priviledge in Ibiza every Monday night throughout the summer, partnering the world-dominating Tiesto.

We'll be kicking off the season on Monday 7th July for what promises to be an amazing summer with the worlds biggest DJ. As the exclusive event partner throughout the season, we'll be bringing a unique twist to the huge Tiesto concerts, showcasing the worlds finest underground DJs and producers, and bringing the hottest new talent in electronic music to Ibiza.

In association with the Galaxy Nu Breed show, We will be calling The Electrik Playground our weekly Ibiza home. Support will be mined from our growing army of local talent and future house music heros, alongside some of the UK's best DJ's and producers from Kate Lawler to Nick Bridges to Will Bailey. Taking the formula from our UK parties our unique genre-busting music policy will span the electronic spectrum from deep dark down and dirty to bleeps, blips, beats and basslines.

Throughout the season we will be recording the hottest sets from the room and broadcasting them across the Galaxy Network shows - some of the most listened-to in Great Britain.

We will also be hosting weekly Electrik Sunset sessions at Kanya throughout the 12 week run, giving a fresh approach to the sound of the pre party.
