Going back to Ibiza this June. We arrive on a Wednesday, but plan to have our first bight night out on the Thursday! Where is best to go on Thursdays? I don't wanna go to F**K me i'm famous as i can't stand david guetta!

Any good suggestions? Also, anyone got any views on Defected @ Pacha? I've never been to this night and quite fancy checking it out.

Thanks 8)

Your main events on Thursday nights are FMIF @ Pacha, Cream @ Amnesia and Kehakuma @ Space.

Kehakuma, which had been on Wednesday nights the past couple of years, gets a lot of good reviews. That would be my choice.

Cream is a bigger event. Amnesia gets pretty packed for it. Generally trance in the main room and various styles on the terrace.

The quality of Defected all depends on who is playing. They get some really good guests sometimes - last year they included house legends like Kenny Dope, David Morales, Dennis Ferrer. I'd wait for the listings to come out in late spring before you decide if it's worth going on the dates you'll be in town.

well you have great taste for hating Guetta, he is horrible!

Defected @ Pacha is amazing, top quality house music at it's best.

Think i will check out Defected then as I've never been on a Saturday! Anyone suggest any other good nights for house music?? I've been to WE LOVE twice now, i fancy a different night at Space this time.

Well, Kehakuma!

Or Carl Cox & friends on Tuesdays. Arguably the best party going at Space these days.

Circoloco at DC10 too. Their "new era" music policy is top notch house music, although not the commercial stuff you'll hear at Defected or the mega-cheese of Guetta.

Kehakuma moving to Thursday?

Really good night, enjoyed Nick Curly last season.

nick curly smashed it at the warehouse project this year. probably the best set i seen there this time round.

Kehakuma @ Space is on a Thursday this season! I still think this was one of the best parties of last year, and will get even better I am sure. Nick Curly, Glimpse etc, powered ahead of the more established acts they had there. Hopefully they will focus on the up and coming underground DJs as last year.

Re. Defected. This actually got a lot better last year by all accounts (I only went once). Ok, its not Techno, but it ain't a defected compilation CD either - solid house music. As much as I am a tech head, sometimes pure house just works if you want a more relaxed night. Defected is still one of the best options for a Saturday, which is a pi_ss poor night in Ibiza.

i read that and gasped so loudly at my desk that colleagues are now staring

ha ha slightly better than my "YOU'RE F**KING JOKING" response.
I take it you're not gonna pay 100 euros to listen to the Black Eyed Peas & Akon then? Ha ha ha

I'm a real house head and love Defected, went to the closing party last year and Miss Divine was amazing as was Simon Dunmore, Bob Sinclar played some good tunes too, but i did hear a couple of commercial tracks in his set.
When he was at Cafe Mambo he played some 70's & 80's stuff, which i have to admit, was pretty good while we were chilling with a few beers in the sun. ;)

Anybody been to Cadenza on Sunday @ Pacha?? I'm struggling to find some good reviews and responses on here! Whats the verdict?? :)
