i think bereavement of a close family member is the third one. kinda makes the others pale into significance.

this is true. I've moved stacks of times; Cyprus to Germany, Germany to England, England back to Germany, Germany back to England, England to Scotland, moved property in Scotland then down to London. Never had a problem - just needs to be planned well.

Moving is not as traumatic as the others. Would not make my top 5. I have moved a bunch in and out of the USA so it does not bother me.
