We had a whole long thread about this while you were in Ibiza. A lot of people were very saddened by what happened... a very unfortunate mistake.

Good to know that Morbyd. It's very sad indeed. I hate the idea that my country has so many problems that it forces its citzens to go look for a better life abroad and submit themselves to every kind of humiliation. It makes me ashamed.

But it's no excuse for people to make jokes about being shot in the head by prejudice, brutality and ignorance.

Thank you for your support.

Conrado, I think the joking hting it's something natural in the british character, the way they have to put up with crisis and tension ;)

Good point Sil...us Brits are renouned for having a sense of humour that is very close to the knuckle at times.
It's just a coping mechanism - there are so many tube jokes floating around at the moment for example but none of this banter is country/race or religion specific...it's just to lighten the mood during the dark times London seems to be facing at the mo. :( 8)

People were very saddened at what happened here, but our police made a mistake. I'm sure you can try to understand that, bearing in mind where you are from and the problems your country has. Mr. De Mendes is widely viewed as another victim of terrorism here. No one is laughing about his death.

There is an 8 page thread on this somewhere Conrado!

I read the 8 pages thread, my friends. I didn't know what was going on, I was in Ibiza, no contact with reality...
