Mercedes is a great venue but the food is very average, if not poor. The Mejitas need practice too. The waiter in black with the beard was a hoot tho. San An needs better restaurants if its going to have any style for those who dont linger in the West End. Mambo etc are great places too but cooking is diabolic and wine lists are very sparse - they really arent catering for what people want now. C'mon we dont all live off patatas bravas!

san an has some good places to eat
-sa capella,
-il vaticano (juan the head chef used to run the kitchen at mambo+it has gone downhill since he left)
- rias biaxas (for seafood)
- can talyas (for late night/early mornin authentic ibicenco cooking)
having said that though it will never ever have the choice and quality of eivissa
