the streets

the Royksopp 'Memory Lane' mix of Weak Become Heroes is one of my absolute fave tunes, love it and play it out whenever possible ... 8)

he doesnt compare himself to them does he?

and he made the album in his bedroom on a laptop so its gotta be fairplay really

it says a lot of things that need saying dont ya think?
and them beats arent half bad either!

No, he doesn't but reviewers do.

I think he does make a lot of valid points, but I found there's a certain degree of novelty value to him in that when you first listen to him you have a chuckle but after that it gets a bit dull.

Although I do like Weak Become Heroes.

I dont really like the streets but i think the new single is funny as. I like the bit where he goes 'Dont touch me, dont touch me'

Its a very catchy tune

a breath of fresh air to the music industry. The streets are excellent . As for the new track i think its catchy without being chesey.

If you want to hear more good music check out my own tunes and tell me what you think.

Streets had a real problem with his second album i reckon.

His first was so good and different, but the second has to be good but different again. He cant just do more of the same thing because then he'd be accused of being a one trick pony kind of thing. What was ground breaking then isnt now either, if the sound was the same it still wouldnt be as good as the first album. It needs to be different and a level up.

I can see how the second album is gonna be as good as the first to be honest.

When someone does something that different at the time, its nearly always impossible to follow it up successfully....

I guess he can do a lot of collaborations which is what a lot of artists do, but again thats a bit of a letdown and seen as taking an easy way out of it without having to do so much yourself...

Exactly, artists always say the second album is the 'difficult' one but imagine how difficult it would to be follow Original Pirate Material 8O

yep indeed
the first album he did in his bedroom for himself really...
as a kind of aside whilst trying to do house tunes that he thought people would like to hear (if you can get to hear them - they are actually quite good -- one even sold 3 1/2 thousand copies)

so now he is back to square one
after doing an album without constantly thinking about what peeps want to hear he is now back in that situation again..

BRING IT ON MIKEE
(although it was due to be released last year so he has been a bit of a workshy skally)

Have to say i liked the first album.

Thought the tunes where pretty crap but you have to give the guy respect he must be clever come to up with the lyrics!
