Does it really counts? :?

Can't you love any singer if you weren't in the right age when they were big? :?

Age is not a factor to like/dislike a band/singer.
The police came up with a new fresh sound played by a 3 piece band when the most played music was west coast fm (toto,journey,reospeedwagon..)

I was definitely old enough  Still didn't like them though

I was living in the US at the time and you had choice of Police, Dire straits, Springstein and s**t west coast fm.
What were the choices in UK?

and so the intention of your first comment was... ?

Before judging if they were good or not, we have to keep in mind what kind of music was played. Police came up as novelty at the time.

But does the age factor is important to judge it?

I'm sorry if I'm being thick but I can't see the connection with age and judging a group and the music that was played at that time

I think this post answers your questions about age and the musical environemet at the time.
