Sorry I couldn't see any threads I wanted to join at this minute in time (though I nearly started slagging Sophie off), so started my own Friday thread.....

Does anybody else have the two keys "alt" and "tab" worn out on their PC, from flicking quickly away from Spotlight whenever "the others" are around....

The others i.e. those that can sack you, not those losers on Lost.

I always have about 8 applications open so I just click on something along the bottom (usually a diary and pretend to be speaking on my headset about arranging a meeting) Lucky I have my own office so no probs really....8)
 
My "alt" and "tab" keys are OK, but I do regularly get caught perusing Spotlight when I should be hard at work.

Me either..

I actually don’t know how I’m still getting away with this, I’m on the internet pretty much every second of the day. I’d prob do an hours work altogether a day.
 
Thank fook it's not just me then.... Glad to have shared with those that didn't know - I can relax this weekend now safe in the knowledge that I can be helpful.... :D

Puppylover - I can't take that risk, chances are my other 8 windows open will be other websites :lol:

I'm not posh enough to know about shortcut keys outside of copy, paste, save and undo.

...We're not very corporate here and I work my arse off (hard to believe I know) so no one cares about me posting here.

I've got two monitors to switch between - one has work documents and the other one is intended for the company database so we can flick through client records.

I just use monitor 2 as a Spotlight/.mac monitor. :lol:
 
I just tried the alt and tab, it is much easier just clicking out of spotlight.

The only problem I find is MSN when people's names keep flashing :twisted:
 
Emma isn't there some sort of proxy website that can unblock certain websites. Does this make sense to anyone???

I have to switch MSN off - If I read all the mail I get through MSN and work instant messenger mail, I'd never get any spotlight done :lol:

How much grief do you get? I flick between screens that much it looks like a strobe in my office!!!

grego - Do it, tell us what it is.....:lol:
 
Nooooo you don't understand :lol: It isn't rude, it unblocks websites that people at work aren't allowed to view, like Hotmail....
