The Office, Phoenix Nights OR Little Britain?!

The Office ... saw Little Britain for the first time last week and it frustrated the hell out of me .... probably good to watch if piddled or stoned, but all it did was make me want to kick the tv !

phoenix night gets a sutble smile, little britain gets the occasional laugh..

office, first series - class.

I don't get Little Britain. The gay welsh sketch is funny and the wheelchair one but it's basically the same type of sketch week in week out.
 
Little Britain at the moment......but have thought the same about Office & Phoenix Nights in the past.

thing is as soon as you hear little chaves on the train or knobheads at work, hilariously shouting things like:

Garlic bread
Sweet Baby Jesus
Tinternet
Yeah, but no but yeah
Yeah I know.........etc

You know it's time to move on!!

Which is why I like things like The day today, Im Alan Partridge, Peep Show, League of Gentlemen (espcially series 3 because they lost the "canned laughter" so thev "unfunny bunch" lost interest as they no longer knew when it was funny or not!!) as they have retained their underground feel!!!

Little Britain - Series 1 - Second series a bit of a let down (dont like canned laughter) and its gone too far - vomiting isnt funny when you have to do it, never mind watching someone else do it! bleurgh...
 
Can't choose between the Office and Pheoeoeoenix Nights. Little Britain's a bit too hit and miss for me. It's like the Fast Show on some mild hallucinogen.

Agreed Jason. Love all those. Peep Show is ace, loved it the first time I saw it. Also liked the couple of episodes of The Mighty Boosh I caught.

I love Shamless though, i know its not like a sketch show whatever but its funny as funk.....imo of course!
 
My english teacher got me the Office DVD, I don't remember which series was. It's the one about red nose day.
I really like this series, I have seen most of the bbc comedies classics (Black Adder, Mr Bean, The Young Ones, Bottom, Absolutly Faboulous, Fowlty Toweres) but the more actual ones doesn't arrive yet.

Haven't seen the other two ;)

Marty's revelation about Kev on last nights episode was side splitting, as was the local pub ave'ing it to Rick Astley - Never gonna give you up. :lol:
 
Not sure what you'll make of Phoenix Nights Sil, I think the nearer you come from geographically to Bolton the funnier it is. Have you ever been to a Working Men's Club?
