I thought this was a very interesting thing to say by one of the original names of Ibiza, when talking about Amnesia...

He's the author of another Ibiza-related article in the Enderrock magazine (don't think it's available online)...

Need to read this. All part of the same promotion I think but Christian is also DJing an Ibiza-inspired 60s-90s session for the Embassa't Festival in Sabadell tomorrow, (warming up for Sidonie) which I hope I can get to in time - that train takes forever

*seeing Joni in that photo reminded me of another really good book, Barney Hoskyns Hotel California about the 70s Laurel Canyon scene. The Spanish edition just got published by Contra

anyone got the full text to this? (behind paywall) - the story of 300 hippies who got forcibly kicked out of SE in the 1970s

Little tip- if you’re on an iDevice and want to read something behind a paywall, 9 times out of 10, putting Reader Mode on will show you all of the text. It’s the AA logo top left next to the address bar

You're welcome!

Wow. interesting story. I got the impression that the original hippies were ok, but then the next wave who joined them just didn't give a shit - similar to some of the perroflautas in BCN... Can still get quite nasty here sometimes when the police turn up. We had an issue with okupas in our building and the law is a real headache to understand.

OK thanks. There's also a reference to it in a book called "The Devil's Party - Who Killed The Sixties" by Bob Rodgers I really want to read
