lol Sorry m8 I've been up since 4.30 for work and through my tired eyes it looked like I was getting the same thing you've got - just the updated version - legit registered and ready to go.
You could get it and try it, but, it will depend on your computer whether it's ok or not.

When I find the one you work with at the mo aren't I going to struggle to go legit with it at a later date :?:
One of the most widely used (pirated) music progs around.
It's still possible to buy it legit, try;

you two have got me into this PC djing, im going out to get myself a new sound card to monitor with now!! :twisted:
If you're using a laptop then you need an external USB soundcard to get full stereo out of both players into a conventional mixer just like two CD players or two turntables. You can then monitor from the mixer in the conventional way. ;) Will cost you around £100 though.

Maya 5.1 USB - 6 outs and 2 ins
Maya EX USB - 6 outs and 2 ins
Gigaport - 8 outs

You need this one for Visiosonics Scratch proggy;
Maya 44 USB - 4 outs and 4ins

i bought myself a cheap £7 4 channel sound card from Pc world and I'm downloading an "evaluation" copy of a certain software DJing product to "evaluate"...

soulman you use your dac-2 for your albeton too m8?
No, I don't have the DAC-2, I have the original DMC-01. Actually found a driver that converts it to MIDI to use with Abelton, however, last Friday night it screwed up my PCDJ Red (see weekend rundowns). So, Saturday I had to uninstall it, everything seems to be back to normal again.

Still haven't sorted out my midi controller yet! confused would be an understatement... I've now got the software for albeton, pcdj and mixmeister...

just found out about the faderfox midi controller in the digital dj magazine....

www.faderfox.de ...... The DJ1 model looks really handy.... the review says about the faderfox controllers...

"this set of midi controllers is superb for getting hands-on with your dj software. Specifically designed for both albeton live and native instruments tracktor, these units are robust, well designed and provide plenty of hands-on tweaking potential. small enough to fit on top of a laptop and also carry around in your pocket, the foderfoxes offer total MIDI control without the need for a power supply, instead running off standard AA batteries. All of them are brimming with control funcionality and make DJing in our chosen application a creative and fun process. At around £123 each, they aren't exactly cheap for controllers, but they do offer a highly tailored set of features that provide an incredibly precise amount of control over your software package, Any gigging laptop musican would be well advised to give these a look"

OK, for general CD stylee DJing, PCDJ is the one. That's the one I've used for nearly 4 years. For 'normal' DJing (with thousands of choons), it's the best for me. It does NOT beatmix, it can tempo match, but the actual beatmixing has to be done manually as on CD's or vinyl.

To knock out straight forward beat mixed CD's then Mixmeister is great.

To do more specialised DJing (with limited amount of choons), chopping up choons, remixing and getting creative, then Abelton is the choice.

I need to get a controller sorted for my Abelton too, especially since my current controller is not going to be suitable unless I use it on a separate laptop. I have been looking at the UC33e and the Faderfox and am still undecided. :? I think some on the Abelton forums are using both, which is even more :?
