great club, terrible layout.

great crowd, dressy but friendly. too much pushing and shoving because of terrible layout. nice garden.
 
if you like dancing dont go to the cross

I love The Cross. Its one of my favourite venues in London. Its got 3 rooms which are bricked arches and an outside terraced area with benches. I've always found the crowd to be good fun and not too poncy.

The only problem with it is when its very busy- it can get very hot and difficult to move around because you have to walk through the middle of each room to get to the next one.
 
I think I'm getting a major case of deja vu.. ;)

I know everyone will have theyre own opinion about his, some people prefer The End, others Ministry, but to me its the best venue in London.

Agree about bad lay out, but in the summer most people go out side, so theres loads of room inside, and if you pick the right spots its not too bad.
Really good crowd too, a bit glamourous but always up for it at the same time, very good balance of people.
 
It's alright but really nothing special. It's more irritating than anything really cos of the lack of space and corridors in the middle of the dance floors.
People say it's great because of the terrace in the summer but the outside bit is nothing on the Egg.
 
My favourite club in London. They have some great Saturday nights esp TYPE and Fiction, a gay/mixed night on Friday night is a blast. Always a friendly crowd and when the weather's good, the terrace area is the biz :D
 
Nice enough club but too many people wandering about, I want to slap them and say 'ffs you're in a club, dance' :roll: Cos of that I find it never gets properly going.

I have had a lot of good night in Turnmills although dont hear it talked about much on here. Haven't been in a while tho, dont seem to go clubbing as much in London these days (mainly just Ibiza 8) )
 
Thanks guys - I am down there on Easter Thur for a friends night's 1st birthday - not too chuffed about the dancefloor comments I dont like public thoroughfares whilst you're trying to dance... :evil:

Neighbourhood is pretty good - but you have to pick the night...everywhere else has had its day especially Turnmills - i used to love the Gallery there on Fridays but its been dreadful the past couple of years (no offence to anybody that plays there now).

Hey Mike -- I haven't been to Neighbourhood but would be keen to try it -- what nights are recommended?

Couldn't agree more!!

First time at The Cross was for Fiction on Firday & it was only the 2nd time round on Sat night instead, that I found out the toilets weren't unisex!! Mr bouncer was not impressed with me what with all the women complaining!! :lol:

The Cross... always a peach of a night!! :twisted:
 
I've been to SpeedQueen which was absolutely fantastic!! :twisted: Such an energtic 'up for it' crowd where anything goes, literally!! Rounded it off with the Glasshouse @ Mission afterwards, mmm... I keep meaning to head back there as it goes!

I hear Federation is bit of a tasty night too? :D
