I'm about to upset a few people by saying this :?

But I think the congestion charge is a great thing! London hasn't looked this good in years!

I'm a big Ken fan - I read all about the Greater London Council during the Thatcher years and I genuinely think he's a top bloke.

Sorry N8, slap me! :?

hmmm!!

wondfer how they'll report this in Kens fave paper "the standard"???

he never did apologise for his "kommandant" remark did he??

Yes, as it's not an april fool apparantly

I'm with you Nath, I think it's so unfair. Tom's mum works in casino and a lot of time has to drive into town at 4pm to start work and finishes at 1am. There is obviously no way she would get night bus home on her own at that time so she has to drive in and pay congestion charge

And all it's done is mean drivers just take alternative routes to avoid charge which means more traffic outside of congestion charge, my journey to Tesco increased from 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours when it was introduced.

And like there's so much room on the tube as it is

So stick that S______ Robder  ;)

Yep, i used to be able to leave Daventry at 2pm and be in central London at 4pm.....now it takes until about 5:30 or even 6 sometimes because all the traffic around the congestion zone is so much worse

Get rid of it and him I say. It's not like London transport has improved since it came in they even put the prices up on it every year and still it's packed/subject to delays. The traffic is still as bad as it ever was...

70 of my vans go in the CC area each day, so 70 x 5days x say 50 weeks of the year at £7 per visit = £122,500 per annum to use or lovely roads.*

The blokes a (unt

*The £1.50 rise for fleet vehicles will form a claim because it was unforeseen when my contract so £26,250 of that annual figure will be paid by Thames Water and ultimately, therefore, London water consumers. Will be the same for most standard forms of contract in public sector work so the taxpayer will pay more.

Sorry, that's f***ing boring

Yeah your right :D

Seriously, that is taking the piss. I think they have to try and cut congestion but thats gonna hit some people really hard, could end up costing jobs. Its not like drivers dont get shafted for as it is; road tax, petrol tax, high insurance. f***ing politicians. ALways making the wrong decisions. Who benefits from this at all?
