I came into work this morning to about 30 people trying to contact me for updates and I am like "eh? what you on about???"

Maybe I should listen to the news first thing in the morning on getting up and driving to work...:oops: :oops:

My day is going to be spent trying to get cars and trains organised for everyone who is supposed to be flying today..... busy day me thinks...:?

@ morbyd you mentioned something about killing a fly with a cannon........30 years ago the US falied in Vietnam by, if my memory remembers the quote correctly, "trying to kill a fly with a sledgehammer". it didn't work then, its sure not gonna work now.

That was my point!

Only this time it's worse. If back then, we made enemies (for 2 decades... now we appear to be over it) of a few people living in the jungles of SE Asia, this time Israel (and by association, the US and UK) is compounding the already fervent disdain of a fifth of the world's population!
 
my friend is flyin bk from the usa on monday and landing here monday morning at 10 then we flf yo ibiza at 10 that night ive got a bad feeling about this :(

i cant belive this has happend its awful,terrible !!! i was going to put a thread up saying im going to ibiza next sat from the 19th and i have never ever flown before well now i am bloody scaid but why should i ? why let them beat me? but im glad the security have taken this step so what about delays safety is important first

just a wee bit scaid

Don't worry, Andi. Take comfort in the statistics. Safer than driving. So relax (have a few drinks before your flight) and have a good trip!
 
I dont usually like to get involed with threads I know little about, so this might seem like a silly question, but does the Lebanese government allow Hezbollah to exist? Does it do anything to try to stop the Hezbollah arming itself? Who gives them the missiles..? i think I read somewhere it was Syria.

Dont shoot me down, im just trying to think what a normal isreali person might be thinking!
