temperature

Nighttime temps in july should fall to around 22 or 23 degrees, extreme lows of maybe 18 and extreme highs of 25 /26

You definitely wont need warm clothes for the night in July, it stays very muggy and you can still work up a sweat easily just by walking down the street

weather in August 2006

Meteo gurus say that in August weather on Spain will be bad .....I remember 4 or 5 years ago a rainy August in Ibiza :( I hope the next won't be the same.....

It's scientifically impossible to make a weather prevision with more than 5 days in advance, what meteo gurus are you talking about 8O

Oh, that's a difficult one in Manchester Stephen:
"here is the weather forecast for the coming week in Manchester- risk of showers this afternoon, might rain tomorrow, will rain at some point on Friday, Patchy showers on Saturday, rain in some parts on Sunday, 50% chance of showers on Monday, cloudy with a few sppots of rain on Tuesday."
Bet I'm not too far out;)

Meteo forecast

I've gotta studied the meteo forecast for next months.

I hope to be clear in my explanation: and as you can read here:

http://www.meteo.it/clima/previsioni/2001_awEpson.htm

there will be a precise reason behind the fact that next summer will be not too hot and the weather could be more rainy in the period July - November than the usual.
In fact the weather in the Med is influenced by "El Nino" that is a climatic anomaly that affects, at first, Pacific Ocean, and then Mediterranean basin.

In a few words: if there is El Nino in Pacific Ocean then the summer will be very hot in southern Europe, otherwise the summer will be less hot and more rainy than usual. Since this year El Nino did not hit the Pacific Ocean, southern Europe will not be influenced by "African anti-cyclone" and the temperatures will be not high.

A scientific explanation could be found at the URL mentioned before (but it's not in english...sorry).

Anyway, It's just a meteo forecast and it should be wrong...

right but all that it's just a supposition and as I said before it's impossible to make a reliable forecast with more than a week in advance.
