techie question help please?

hi all,

any of you know a good programm for equalizing the volume in a dodgy recording.

some bits are louder than others, is there anyway of running them through some sort of programm to even that out?

yeah you could try normalising the volume to sort it out but i think the best way would be to run it through a compressor. I think soundforge has one under the plugins section. Something like multiband compressor would be great. I can always do it for you if you have a bit of trouble.
