teaching english

Hi all, I've seen on here through doing a few searches that some of you have taught English in Spain. I was thinking about doing this in a couple of years time, but am really confused about the courses on offer. :?
Which courses did everyone on here do? I've heard that the Cambridge one is the most recognised one, but not sure I have a spare 2 grand at the moment to do it!!
What's the likelihood of me actually being able to get a job (anywhere in Spain) with a different course? I'm already a qualified teacher in the UK, but don't want to teach at an international school because I've heard some horror stories about them, so I thought about TEFL/TESOL instead.
Sorry for the long post...hope someone can help :)

Applied for a teaching job in ibz today! Not massively optimistic but will see if they get back… I could certainly do the job and have the skillset and languages but whether a/ i could get away without a formal tefl and b/ afford a flat is another matter.. 👀

Ex done a TEFL course, only took a day.

the official certificate? I read it takes 120 hours on average (2/3 months) but might vary between courses

either way, it's like stivi said, the rents are nuts. even core wage + letting out flat out here + various freelance hustles wouldn't leave much left over

assuming I got through, probably wouldn't qualify as key worker..

aah well, can always dream
