What did everyone reckon? We had a wickid time . Wasnt too packed so u could move except around the secret sundaze tent . We got there to find that Villalobos wasnt playing cos his girlfriend was having a baby , fair play i guess . Annie Mac surprised me n was quite good tho she didnt look like she was having the best time. Saw bit of Seb Fontaine too . Highlight was Loco Dice for me and the hot dogs they were selling were amazing!
Went to Kubicle afters at Public Life but left after an hour , was really boring , slow deep house n the dj's didnt even look like they were rating it .
Anyone else go?

its the same company! they sponsor a massive underground electronic music festival in kings cross every summer

Fantastic party...loved every second.

Also thought public life (esp the music) was BRILLIANT...different strokes for different folks I guess.

We arrived fairly late and there were a fair few characters there - all very friendly!

(apart from the smack head carrying a pipe with rocks in it on the street when everyone was trying to have a ciggie...8O Urgh - not impressed)

Thought trailer trash was ace at tdk, as was the outside bit by canvas and the azuli terrace. 8)

It was my first time at TDK this year and I actually really liked it. We'd been out to SW4 the day before so I wasn't feeling totally up for it, but agreed to get in there early, then leave early.
Got in about 7pm, had a few drinks then caught Caged Baby's set which was really good. Saw Annie Mac's set too which I loved, great to hear the new Chemical Brother's tune.
Minxed about for an hour or so after that, couldn't really find a room that was appealing that much to us. The Trailer Trash room was a little bit too cheesey for my liking, I mean, COME ON - 2 Unlimited remixes?!! :? Was far too hot and sweaty in there so we made our way downstairs to the Halo room which was by far the best music I'd heard all night. Really bouncy Techno and Deep house, loved it!!
Stayed in there til 4am, surpassed myself at how long I'd been in there

So overall I liked TDK, would definately go again.

I think you have to understand the nature of the club to enjoy it in there really. It was full of friends having fun and supporting their local disco.

The trailer trash DJs are all amazing - esp Hannah Holland who is currently my absolute fave. Some of the residents do have some silly moments like the one you mentioned above but it's purely for the comedy value.

Not like Mulletover which was full of miserable boooooring-ness in comparison.

Glad you enjoyed and great to see you both. I'm still chuckling at John stealing that man's tail and waving it around pretending it was a penis.
He looked so cross. 8O

They have apparently and they're playing it up like mad.

I'm really pleased because it's one of the highlights of the year for me...but I'm going to be cynical because they'll never find a venue quite like that one. The Kings Cross site is away from all the residential areas which means music outside all night. How are they going to find anything like that again?...Unless they go for somewhere waaay out of the city?

But you never know eh?

Had an absolutely brilliant time at TDK! Agree with robder that mulletover was rubbish - martin buttrich was awful when I hoped he'd be good, very yawnsome.

Didn't go to trailer trash unfortunately..

Azuli terrace was amazing - except it got FAR too packed up there, we didn't bother staying for tiefschwarz as you couldn't move - took us about 20 minutes to slowly move through the space from one end to the other when we wanted to get out...

Locodice was fantastic, saw about an hour and a bit of his set but it was just too much of a sweatbox in there and getting quite uncomfortable despite my prime position spot on top of the crash barriers

Green velvet - absolutely brilliant 8)

Secret sundaze - v.good as usual

think that's all I did really - left around 6 to go to the toilet which was probably the worst one I'd been to due to it being fairly empty, but the music was some of the best I'd heard there actually. :Terry: to start with was excellent, love his sets always, hector was better than normal - sometimes he can be a bit boring and then jamie jones was superb as ever, definitely still my favorite london DJ.

I do understand the nature of the club, I know it's a very much disco-y/have a good time kind of place, it's just not the kind of stuff I can listen to all night, especially not when there's so much other brilliant music being played in other rooms!

I know I was  for ages after the tail incident. It was SO funny! The poor guy had obviously put on his most kerrrazeee outfit and was NOT expecting Jon-type hooligans in there

That wasn't Feral's tail was it Rob???:lol::lol:

Yes - so I had to casually pretend John was some random bloke I'd never met before.

I love being on the fense. ;)

 I always end up doing football chants with you lot for some reason! :?

I remember John pulling off his best gay dance moves too - I guess we're just pandering to stereotypes...f***ing funny tho.

You are a hilarious double act though - do you always have to spend entire evenings telling him off?

i loved tdk - definately the best event i've been to in london. unfortuntely we had RUINED ourselves the night before at a party, so didn't end up staying that long. thought the set up was fab - great to be able to wander about from one amazing set to the next. fave areas were secretsundaze, and phonica/kubicle/mulletover (controversial :D) but that was probably more due to our state of mind more than anything else. Anywhere with big crowds was a complete no go for us 8O

obviously didn't make it to the toilet which i'm a bit dissapointed at as it was the last one for aaaaaaaages, but on the plus side i feel totally recovered today :D

I thought Jon always dances like that

Jon just gets very excited at times and a firm word is needed to calm him down before he insults the entire crowd 8O:lol:
