TDK CROSS CENTRAL 2006
AUGUST BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND 2006
SATURDAY 26TH & SUNDAY 27TH AUGUST
KING'S CROSS FREIGHT DEPOT, YORK WAY, LONDON, N1
www.tdkcrosscentral.co.uk / www.myspace.com/crosscentral

Renowned for being eclectic, forward thinking and truly inspirational, TDK Cross Central returns with more gumption and guts than any other event in the music calendar. Over the last two years TDK Cross Central has earned an unbeatable reputation for breaking new bands and playing host to an abundance of musical legends. It’s the only event with a ridiculously-acute knowledge of the DJs and bands making waves right now; and this year will be no different. The event offers more than just big names and big tents; it offers quality from tomorrow’s talent and yesterday’s heroes. Another two days of cutting edge artists and underground club legends await you in the heart of London.
TDK continues to produce line-ups that inspire a new generation of music lovers while also exciting current devotees of electronic and guitar-led music. With King’s Cross subject to a massive cultural redevelopment right-now the event is more poignant than ever before and the backdrop of urban regeneration never more fitting than now.

should be there on the sunday now 8)

you may be asking for your money back

Found that a couple of acts have posted news.

http://angryape.com/news/2006/08/animal … -cancelled

"We're sorry to announce yet another show cancellation. Apparently there is a bridge above the outdoor stage at the TDK festival, and this bridge didn't pass an engineer's safety inspection. This resulted in the festival cutting a lot of acts from the line-up, us included"

http://www.bugzintheattic.co.uk/news.php

Bugz will not be performing at TDK Cross Central. Due to health and safety problems at least two of the stages have been cancelled and, in turn, about 50% of the bill will not be appearing including Bugz, Amp Fiddler, Ladytron, London Elektricity, Animal Collective, etc...

hmm.. not bought tickets yet - at the moment only properly bothered about Sasha, Booka shade & the circo loco/secretsundaze arenas.

Anyone know if that lot have been cancelled or not?

on the reports it says that cos of H&S concerns they have had to lose a stage, so basically they've binned all the dudes (bands mainly) that were on this stage.

i doubt dc10, secretsundaze, sasha and the like will be affected. if any of them were due on that stage, then they'd just move them.

can you imagine "dear sasha, the stage for xcentral is a bit dodgy, so sorry you can't play, and before you ask you can't possibly replace one of the other 100 DJs performing, that would just be unfair, plus we quite like the idea of saving £20K after having sold a shed load of tickets. love TDK"

There is a few too many live acts for my liking  I'm still undecided about going as I think the line-up is weaker than previous years :?
