Tale Of Us Presents....Afterlife at Space 2016

terraza. packed. music exactly what you would expect of those acts. I personally didn't feel it that much, but the vast majority of the crowd had an amazing time.

If it's anything like new release from the Afterlife label that features 10 tracks or so, then I'm guessing the music was too much of the same slow trippy techno stuff

ok so here's abby review to start with just in case you've not seen it yet http://www.ibiza-spotlight.com/night/2016/07/review-afterlife-opening-party-7-july-2016

and to be a bit more specific now, here are a few more thoughts. we got there just after midnight. this means we missed woo york live on sunset and the terraza had just opened. ryan james ford played there - had never heard him before and he played pretty hard, too hard for my liking and for what I personally think would fit that time. the terraza was almost pitch black (believe me - they even hid the beautiful stone wall behind the terraza dj booth with a black blanket ) so the combination made for a bit of an odd start. it then got better as it got busier and mind against as well as recondite did a good job. then of course the vibe was at boiling point when TOU came on. by then it was VERY busy, bit uncomfy so. I personally just didn't feel it that night, couldn't get into it. I'll have to go back soon to get a second opinion.

also - in the end the 'chamber' room is actually not in el salon, but rather in the main room, but just a tiny part of it. it's just the bar to the right of the main room with a DJ booth at the end of it and the rest is all closed (and again lots of blankets). reason for that is that in the main room they can put the volume up whereas in el salon it's always low volume because that room isn't completely closed and therefore not soundproof.

I was really looking forward to this one. Hopefully will be in full swing by mid/late August. The Terraza is one of my favourite places, but i kind of hate it when they play around with it too much - and sounds like they did. I mean you have to leave that stone wall at the back open, it is the Terraza. I'm never one to moan about crowds usually but it is one room that can't cope with over crowding that well, and it becomes too pushy etc.

Does it affect the sound in there? I mean, it wasn't designed to be partially closed, and with some of the speakers being in the closed off section of the room...

I am too old to be trampled upon...

This night sounds good. Cant wait to check it out, something about a new night at space gets the juicys flowing. . Same happened when Enter burst onto the scene.

I like the idea of it being on the terraza as a more closed compact room with the sound bouncing off the walls. Cant believe the price of it aswell with such music talent on show.

Looking forward to more reports

Yo I had a good time last night at this jam. Spent most of my time in the terrace, no go-go dancers unfortunately lol but music was on point. After Tennis was done, the music switched to other side with Tale Of Us. Some good techno, pretty solid, cool crowd, room to dance despite it being very busy. I had a bunch of random staff and security and Tale oF us themselves sign Sasha's GU 13 Ibiza cd booklet, only because Space had something to do with that mix lol. Will be back next week for sure for this, great price point too. I'm gonna miss that terrace honestly, was reminded again last night why that room rocks.
