taking record box out

how much does it cost roughly to take a record box out with bout 100 records?

any one got a clue?
 
On a package / charter or even easyjet I reckon muchos dollars!!

I always took two record bags and booked them in as hand luggage - one for me and one for Mrs Jam. Stuff your pockets full of your stuff and when you go through the security check go to the newsagent and get a carrier back to empty it all in ;)
 
i took 2 boxes out last year (fully loaded), checked them in as baggage and didn't pay anything... that was easy jet from stansted...

my friend used to reside & savannahs for the whole season & usually took about 4 boxes out. never paid excess...

reckon u might get a bit o grief @ gatwick though...

im going BMI from manchester, me n the Miss. one suitcase and one record box is the plan, so were hoping we get it through with out paying extra!

a record box cant be anymore than 20 kg can it? I mean 20 kg is damn f***in heavy init!
 
i give em free CD's and i normally get away with it, having said that i'm pretty much just CD's now so... Easier and Cheaper, just hand luggage. also get a UDG trolly bag, just the right size for overhead compartments!
 
Tell them you want to stick it in the front hold. Sometimes you can get away with it. I normally stick mine in as baggage. But that can be dodgy...

Either that or send it cargo, alot cheaper than excess but more complicated...
