Taking a camera to clubs?

Which clubs allow you to have a camera inside?

Will any of them take a camera away?

Any help would be great!

Big signs up in Space saying no cameras, but i managed with no problem. Saw people getting hauled out on their arse for having one though. Take photos but dont look like a journalist and flash it about.

...also watch in Pacha, i went to take one of the dancefloor from above and got a frown from the bouncer...realised that its was over the VIP area.
 
Manumission dont allow you in with a camera, they confiscate them off everyone on their way in the door and hold onto them for a fee and give you a cloakroom ticket!!

Its just like the same deal as with a coat!!:roll:

Although i have to admit i have sneaked one in before (stuck it down my pants) just as long as your discreet and dont get seen your ok.:D

Bit of a pain though, not allowing you cos we all wanna take a few memories home with us to stick on our bedroom walls etc like dont we!!:cry:
 
yeha privilage dont allow , 3 euros to put it in and u get a raffel ticket.never had any problems anywere else tho.
 
Amnesia are also extremely strict about not allowing you in with a camera. If you get caught, you will be in deep doo-doo.
 
Absolutely ridulacous this,i mean where is the harm in taking a few photos of your holiday to remember :roll:

I think it's more incase you happen to take a snap of someone, especially a known face, doing something they shouldn't.

Also so they can sell photographs to you as well.
 
I've been warned a few times for using a camera in Amnesia, but i haven't been chucked out yet!;)

Eden don't care if you take photos.

If youre sneaky enough you can get away with it anywhere.
 
so when you pay the couple of euros for them to keep it, is it safe? i usually take my digital camera with me, dont wanna get end up having to leave it some where and then not get it back? any one had any problems leaving it?
 
Just back and here is what happened:

EL Divino - Fine
Pacha - Fine (No photos of dancers)
Eden - Fine
Space - A few sneaky ones
Amnesia - Got caught, guy pointed at no cameras sign, I said OK and put camera away

Yep they tend to search bags, I've always sneaked a camera into all clubs in Ibiza with no problems. You'll be fine if you're discreet.

Mine was in my pocket - didn't get asked anywhere apart from Space. The guy asked if it was camera. I said it was my cigarettes and in I walked.

Some people were actually being very obvious in Space now that I remember, ie getting a group of 8 to pose for the photo. Bar staff don't seem to mind, but the security people there aren't see easy going.
 
I just bought a very nice digital for my trip especially... a mobile will not turn out quality

Space would be the place I would want to photo the most, but after all the feedback I am nervous to bring it there

No point in checking a camera, sort of defeats whole purpose of bringing it...

Perhaps I will buy a disposable digital for the clubs and if I get it taken away so be it

yeah i thought as much..good thing about my camera EVERYONE thinks it's a mobile phone,in the 8 months ive had this not one person has said nice camera,always "oh nice phone" :lol: here it is here a cracking piece of equipment even if i do say so myself ;)

Very weird this time for me. No searches at Pacha nor Eden. Amnesia searched me, grabbed the camera from the outside of my jeans and let me walk in anyway. I saw a few others with cameras inside although there were tons of signs everywhere. Space was the weirdest, they searched one side of my jeans but not the other and the other I had my camera in, but I know they don't allow them. So as far as I experienced, only Space is a no-no.
 
what is the best way to get it in @ Space???

im bringing my girl with me and i know they still check them but its probably easier if i give it to her rite?
