Syl

i know i'm not sil but hell yeah he's good.

he's got big hair though and i'm not sure how he'll adapt to sunny manchester if he goes. potentially another foreign flop on the cards unless psycho can get the best out of him.

no doubting his talent though, big and strong too so he should be able to rough it.

cheers grego

forgot you were well versed in all things "barca"

sounds good though, I know psycho is after a brusier up front, and although it's working now (cole & vassell) alas ac will only have another year with us, bit of a mark hatley then?? ;)

he's certainly a bigger unit than cole & vassell and i've no doubt that he's decent in the air and holding it up but sometimes when i've seen him he's been a bit of an emile heskey/gentle giant-esque forward, u know where for his size he should just be battering people but often doesn't seem to use his strength. however, in some games he's been unplayable.

if i was comparing exactly what he is like, he's like a cross between what shearer is like now and how crespo plays. in that he is a battering ram of a target man, physically strong but his movement is good and he's more likely to get on the end of a cross or a passing move than run with the ball and create a goal for himself. great foil for either cole or vassell.

like i said the main thing is how he adapts to the british lifestyle and the british game. coming from argentina and playing for barca or anyone in spain is like the least far step u can take to playing abroad, playing for man city is like 100 steps further on - that is the key issue :? :? :?

yeah, know what you mean exactly, as I said, we have not had a "target man" (in the traditional sense) at city since Niall Quinn probably, and I know that it's a type of player that pearcey not only admires but would also like to have in the squad.........however.....a certain mr keegan invested near enough £5m in an un-proven argentinian striker, Mathias Vuoso, who although scored a few at reserve level, never kicked a ball in anger in the 1st team, now whether thats down to the player or the coach im not too sure, however I do know that he's now in Mexico and knocking em in for fun  so maybe it was keegan.....anyway I digress, the point is that maybe the board will be a tad reluctant to shell out on a relatively unknown quantity, having said that, we are fundamentally the same set of players that couldnt even put a pass together last season, so maybe they will give pearce the money as he seems to get the best out his players, something that seemed to elude keegan. :?
