Time be honest, how good will this be?

Will it be one of those once in a lifetime memories or full of millionaire Arabs trying to get off with sorts well above their league?

I pray it'll be;

 
the fact it's happening mid september when all the celebs and wannabes have long left ibiza and normally a more mature and clued-up crowd is on the island makes me think it's going to be F A N T A S T I C . but who knows, I'll be there for sure and we'll find out :)
 
I'll say a prayer and hope it is! I'll be there as well, I'm not bothered about it being busy, just as long as it's not full of people taking photos of themselves!

I also hope Sven decides to party seeing it's a one off, no matter what you say, the tunes are louder and darker when he decides to indulge himself!
 
ah of course there will be people taking pics - not even one party on the island where this doesn't happen. it'll be busy for sure.

as for him partying...we'll see. he doesn't play cocoon the next day so chances are good he'll go for it :) somehow I'm also pretty sure there will be afters that day!
 
true about the photos, granted it's Pacha and there'll be people there because it's the place to be.....

Once in a lifetime chance maybe to see him blasting the techno there, remember him once closing Space for Richie with;




and he could barely stand let alone spin a record, it was the best techno ive ever heard but I doubt he remembers a single beat!

Haha, maybe you can get into the afters Stivi, for the mere mortals it's back to the hotel rooms and "pretend" we are there! :)
 
ps that robert babicz tune is one of my all time favourites. he also played this when he closed amnesia terrace at its closing in 2008.

I am glad to report he's actually much 'better' these days. there were a few years (say 2005-2010 or thereabouts) when he often was too spangled to play and f***ed up mixes. not at the start of the night, but if he played long sets or at afters it often happened. that was also the period when he always played MC. there are some classic sven statements out there, check this out: http://www.theshrine.de/ a few of those recordings are from when he was really young, but a lot of them have been recorded in above period.

nowadays he's really much more in control again. as everyone on here knows I hardly miss a gig of his when he's on the island and I'm also often at afters if they do. after the opening they did an afterparty where he played for about 10 hours - not one trainwreck.
 
when he played the Babicz record he played literally ever beat and the rest! Im not normally one of those "amazing moments" people but there was maybe 50 people down the front of the Discoteca and ive never heard anything like it, maybe the best moment of my clubbing life!

agreed, i thin part of the mystique is "what Sven will appear". A bit hypocritical but some of the states ive seen him play are bordering on "i want my entrance fee back", saw him one Cocoon about 7/8 years ago and it was nonesense, back in those days you were at the mercy of the strength of the narcotics as to what his sets would be like! Put it this way, I doubt a man like Sven ever got crap stuff.........

Lst few years he's been incredible, had the honour of him playing another one of my most fave tracks at the Arches in Glasgow, way over closing time, guy literally pulling the cables out as the Feds moved towards the booth, seen him play it loads but gets me moving every time:

 
ah yeah. of course, another amazing tune and one he often closes afterhours with (or at least plays it at some point).

Back In the days Sven was a party animal , saw him Many Time late 90,s till late 00 . During that Time he used to party like no one else and never really pay attention of quality of whatsoever he was just enjoying big time with everyone so yes he took good but bad Also As Sven party with everyone . For him just the dancefloor is important . He does'nt give a shit about vip... He is just a real Dj as they all should be.
 
This is the party I'd literally give my right bollock to be at...alas not to be. I'll see him in London on October 3rd.

He may be more disciplined now but he still has that mischievous gleam in his eye! What a hero!
 
If any of my accumulators come in between now & then, there's no question as to what I'm spending the winnings on: flights + this party!
