Sushiya Aoyama opens in a new location on the 23rd November 2018

Chef Hideki Aoyama’s restaurant will maintain open all year long and at lunch time with kaisen donburi, chirasizushi and sashimi teishoku, among others, as the menu options

One year after the closing of Sushiya Aoyama’s at Plaza Sa Drassaneta, we are back in a new location, in the center of Ibiza town and very close to the courthouse, in a tiny and narrow street, very much like our old neighbourhood, so keeping the personality intact.

The new Sushiya Aoyama is understood as a required renovation. But it is not a radical change, as the essence will maintain the same. The real winds of change are that we will open for lunch and all year long.

From 1:30 to 3:30pm, Tuesday to Friday, Sushiya Aoyama will offer the traditional Japanese sushi lunch menus such as kaisen donburi, chirasizushi and sashimi teishoku. We will also include a meat and a vegetarian option.

But lunch or dinner, Hideki Aoyama will keep offering “simple food, with no decoration but good quality”, “and a great sake selection”.

The main element in the new location is the sushi counter. The first Japanese counter style in Ibiza, that has been made of chestnut wood from Asturias - is 8 meters long and has twelve places. Sushiya also holds some tables and a private space for big groups.

New Opening Time: NIGHTS

From 16th April Sushiya will be open for dinner, Tuesday to Saturday 8-11pm with our sushi menú and weekly suggestions. Reservation is required!

You can always order your sushi to take away but it needs to be done before 5pm.

If you havent tried it yet, we are still open for lunch Tuesday to Friday this week and next one before we open only for dinner.

From today and till Friday 5th Hideki Aoyama proposes ‘Tuna Donburi’ or ‘Japanese Curri w/ Squid’. Next week, it will be ‘Kaisen Donburi’ and ‘Chicken Teriyaki’, among other options

There are usually space around but if not, there are two parking options next to Sushiya Aoyama: Cetis parking and Es Pratet



We are happy to announce that from 17th June you can enjoy our sushi counter from Monday to Saturday, 8-11pm. Booking is needed!

It’s bluefin tuna season so it’s now the best time to enjoy tuna and toro in sushi or sashimi, but hamachi is also coming soon to get ready for that amazing carpaccio and do not forget, the great variety of local fish from Ibiza that we can offer in our weekly suggestions.

Eating out is now possible if you order it before 5pm through email or whatsapp (contact details before).

And remember there are two parking options very closed: Cetis and Es Pratet, both no more tan 500m far away from Sushiya Aoyama.

Tanabata at Sushiya Aoyama

4th-6th July, 8-11pm

The Milky Way separates the lovers Orihime and Hikoboshi. They are allowed to meet only once a year: On the 7th of July.

In Japan we celebrate this day writing wishes on small pieces of paper and hanging them on bamboo.

From Thursday 4 to Saturday 6 July we celebrate Tanabata at Sushiya Aoyama, every night from 8pm, and invite you to share your wishes with us.

Reopening 29th October – WINTER OPENING TIMES

From 29th October we are opening Tuesday to Friday for lunch and Friday and Saturday night à la carte (booking necessary).

On the 1st of November (bank holiday) we are closed for lunch but already taking reservations for dinner.

As last year, Sushiya Aoyama will offer the traditional Japanese sushi menus for lunch such as kaisen donburi, chirasizushi and sashimi teishoku. We will also include a meat and a vegetarian option.
