BBQs - gas is cheating right? Has to be charcoal?

Has to be charcoal for many reasons, even if you think gas is easier, as a m8 who splashed out a few hundred recently pointed out; the cleaning of a gas bbq is a horrible job. Probably depends on the model, but he regretted not staying with charcoal simply for the post bbq cleaning required on his new setup.

No worse than burning Gas mate!

yeah i wasnt sure myself but someone told me burning charcol is basically pure carbon into the atmosphere where as propane and butane are a little better. could be totally wrong!

The half oil drum is the classic choice for the discerning bbq'er.

I suggest a red, white and blue garden umbrella for the BBQ by the looks of it !

If you use gas put lava rocks on top, it will clean up easy. You can use wood chips also with gas. The cook makes the BBQ not what you use.

charcoal ones can be left to rot. gas one will eat up an entire weekend just to clean.
