Not so much an issue in Ibiza but back at home in London my frineds and I enjoy going out to Bars more than to the big clubs these days. Most decent ones have licences til 2-3am now and the quality of the DJ's is excellent. It doesn't cost as much but most importantly the atmosphere and vibe is sooo much better.

Last year we decided to try it ourselves and launched a funcy house night called 'mi casa su casa' and its going really well. There's been great feedback from people that come to them and every one we do seems to get bigger and better. We're not doing it for the money at all, just for the love of the music. If we break even and have a few quid left for some records and beers then that s perfect. The big clubs have totally lost sight of this

Does anyone else agree with me? Also Does anyone else do their own night at a smaller club/Bar? How have you found the response?

I myself prefer the superclub experience over the smaller clubs/bars any given day.
But each to his own... :)

Depends how you define a superclub

Somewhere that can hold 3000+ people doesn't gurantee you a good time - except perhaps in Ibiza

My favourite club in the UK - the cross - is well known but still has an intimate vibe. Not many big clubs have that.

I'm mixed, sometimes I like 5000 people, sometimes a crowd of 250 is great too

got to agree, sometimes its really good to have a small intimate crowd that really interact with the dj, but for a more over-whelming experience then you cant beat a super-club 8)

smaller nights are great for pushing unkown DJ talent and exposing more people to clubbing/dance music, but for me, clubbing has and always will be something that needs to be big, bold and brassy.
