My friend Yvonne is refusing point blank to buy sunglasses for her holiday. She reckons she will look daft wearing them in a nightclub. Im not gonna force her to wear them obviously, or put pressure on her to wear them, cause lets face it its pretty trivial and up to her at the end of the day.

Can I have a show of hands to see what the board thinks about sunglasses at Space?

Yes or No?

I wore them the whole time in space.. Had to hide the eyes.. 8O

Yes without a doubt, I'd scare little children and animals mid-way thru a Space sesh if I didn't have some huge sunglasses to hide behind 8O

Plus you'd have to scrunch your face up as it's so bright. This would also be the same for DC10. I don't wear them at night though.

Is she not even going to wear them on the beach?

Remind her that it's a terrace and all sunny there

Sunglasses are a must 8O . I don't wear them inside though (either on the new terrace or the discoteca)

Also when you leave in the morning or if you do a daytime session it's going to be sunny when you get out and you'll be blinded if you don't have sunglasses.

Very advisable!

You can buy some cheapo's in there anyhow if you ever find yourself in urgent need

burger king in PDB was selling some good ones for €1:lol:. seriously!

Yeah I know. All the above has been said to her, yet she is stubborn as! Asos have decent womens pairs for 2 bucks so im gonna order a few and give them to her on the plane

They are essential aren't they? I realised Id forgotten mine in June when we arrived, and I point blank refused to go to Space until I'd bought some.

have you tried showing her some dontstayin photos of people on the space terrace or in DC10 - all wearing sunglasses?

A definite yes ;) Even if she doesn't want to bring her good ones along do what lots of other peepds do and get a cheapo pair on the way in  I'd be lost without mine whilst holding court in Tantra

well, it depends:

daytime - yes! even though i'm mostly NOT wearing sunglasses.
nighttime - no.

Are they letting little children and animals into Space now?

Come to think of it, I think I might have seen a whole zoo in there in June. 8O

When I was there in June our mate did not take any sunglasses with him at all 8O We were like 'We are going to Space and you have no shades:?: 8O  :spank: '

So we took a wander round to the local La Sirena and bought him a snorkling kit instead and he wore it to Space and Bora Bora  Funniest bit was the goggles and air tube were luminous so the UV lights made it even brighter

We ended up pouring all his drinks down his air tube

Shades all the way............

Tell your friend to take them whether she/he decides to wear them or not, they're not exactly gonna weigh her/him down. 8)

 @ grego

it wouldnt be right though would it?

cool, this thread should serve as a good pointer for her when i harass her to buy some shades this evening. ive shown her the dontstayin pics etc. i think i freaked her out a bit. if she doesn't take any, i'll slip some in my pocket for when we get there.

going without shades is bonkers! the eyes! the eyes!!
