Summer style 2005

or a picotto is his strong initial trance period, about 4 years ago.
I saw him in Amnesia, it was heaven !

well, unfortunately never got to see picotto in amnesia, but yes, i also wish that time back! the trance at present time is getting a bit too soft for me in a way...

here in switzerland (and also in germany i think) the following happened: around 2001/2002 trance was quite hard and fast...became even harder and faster. then in 2002, it was the first time i heard someone talking about "hardstyle". so, out of trance/hardtrance splitted two styles: the (for me absolutely annoying) hardstyle (which is unfortunately quite big right now in switzerland/germany/italy) and the good old trance...but as a reaction to the banging hardstyle (ah, such a sh*t), trance got softer...that's the way i see it here. really liked it before hardstyle came up. and i hope, the real euphoric (and not too cheesy and soft) trance will be coming back (it's quite rare at the moment in my opinion).

for 2005 i also think house might become more progressive and dirty (like tiefschwarz etc) and techno will be big! don't really like that electro stuff. and of course, i'll still love trance (but dream of less cheesiness)...

I think everything next year is gonna be on a morris dancing tip - all bells and tambourines.

You heard it here first 8)

IMO dirty and electro go hand in hand and i think stuff like tiefschwartz has massive electro influenece in the stuff they are producing and playing at the moment.

Deep-jackin'-dirty-funked-up-electro house all the way 8)

progressive, dirty and perhaps the trance will go back to being more cred´even I tend to thing the Tiesto stuff has gone overboard especially after Tiestas recent succes after Traffic with Just Be...its just...not fit. I like the tracks dont get me wrong, but its more pop than actual trance

this year you´ll see IG attend more house partys but definately be there for the Cream as always!

I might even find myself jumping on the 'trance is dead' bandwagon next year, it might be my age but I'm finding it a bit too hard and heavy at the mo.
go for the more melodic uplifting vocal trance then (above & beyond, smith & pledger, armin van buuren, etc).

trance has alot of different sub genres u know.

I myself don't like the harder trance styles that much either, but there's a long way from there until i'll be jumping on the "trance is dead" bandwagon (actually been on this bandwagon in between 2001-2003 and then changed my mind).

Agreed Fusion, and may i add..........OAKIE!!!!! :D :D :D

Seen Oakie a couple of times, and to be honest the first time he was a bit poor, like he was going through the motions with his lackies doing all his work, and the second time he was good but way too hard. I'm getting soft in my dotage.

As long as Jazz fusion doesnt become a huge thing in Ibiza I;ll be a happy puppylover - sets my teeth on edge past a certain time of night

Mmmmmm, nice.

Bit of jazz, confuses the fook out of me after a certain point of the evening. I end up like Frankenstein's monster, trying to pluck the notes out of the air.

it would be great 2c breakbeat "breakthrough" in ibiza next year....
good fridays @ space were 8) but always a little starvin'......

some more psy trance parties would be nice....
g.m.s.
