I'm not sure whether to team it with the knee-length sensible skirt of these stylish but practical shorts
Hmmmm - you do have a good set of pins love, so really a bit of creative tailoring would need to be done to these shorts to make them look good. Personally? I'd go with a knee length skirt (roll it up at the waistband like you did at school for a funky out of hours look - leave the shorts to Tom - that would be my suggestion....
