Has anyone been? I'm heading there next weekend for a few days to see some friends. Can anyone give me any advice/tips/places to go?

I also want to treat my mates to a nice meal in a decent restaurant. I don't want anything that's going to break the bank, but good food and a cool atmopshere.

Any advice welcome :D

Hello

Some tips for you would be to use the Taxi company 'Taxi Stockholm' they have stickers on the sides of the cars, any other taxi companies in my experience will rip you off. One even drove round in circles as he thought we didnt really know any better :spank:.

A place to eat that wont break the bank, hmmmm Stockholm city is notorious for being way overpriced.

My recomendations would be either on the evening to take them to Hotellet, food is gorgeous and they have a lovely terrace, cool music. http://www.hotellet.info/

OR

Treat them to buffet style breakfast at Scandic Anglais, honestly best breakfast i have ever had. http://www.scandichotels.com/en/Hot...kholm/Hotels/Scandic-Anglais/?redirected=true

Could look here for places too:- http://beta.stockholmtown.com/en/eat/restaurants/

Places to go, walk into the Old Town. Not much else i can tell you as most of my trips involve flight, hotel, club, flight :D

Have a brilliant time.

Hi

Have been numerous times and can definitely recommend a restaurant called GQ.

There are also many really nice little places in the Old Town (Gamla Stan). You can just nosey about there and you'll find plenty but I would recommend one called 'Marten Trotzig' if you'd like to try some excellent local cuisine.

If you like seafood then I have heard that 'Wedholms Fisk' is really good although I have not eaten there myself. It has an amazing bar though overlooking the sea.

Anything around the Stureplan area meal wise is a bit expensive. It seems to to be where the "Cool" people hang out.

I love Stockholm and the old town is great for a wander around.

Stockhom is nice! I've only been there once in the winter and it was freezing cold.. but summer/fall should be good! Loved the old town!

I don't remember much (I just remember the cold weather) but we had tapas at a restaurant called San Leandro, quite good.

The F12 Terrace is the best place during the summer.

Depends on what you are in Stockholm for. If you live there I could agree. If you visit it probably has one of the highest consentration of beautiful girls to watch in the world 8)

It's definatly an in-place and has been for years, therefore quite pricy but not like shocking. But back to my point, I would never miss stureplan for the swedish blonds if I was a visitor ;)

The blonds are everywhere :D

But if you like bad music, bad attitude and beautiful girls then stureplan
is the area ;)

Hehe, to be hounest I can't remember zip of the music so that can't have made too much impression ;)
But the people at stureplan do look better (being subjective of course) than in rest of the town whether you prefer boys or girls.
For boys its always difficult to get into the hot clubs without being on the guestlist or such but as a girl you'll both get in and you'll meet a lot of guys more willing to buy you drinks than most places.
It's such a small city with good communication so also as a girl I would definately stop by at least to check it out and make up my opinion whether it was "my thing" or not.

I work in stockholm but live in Uppsala so can't offer a great insight into the night life. I've been here for 18 months now and haven't found a great house night life. However, for some beers in the sunshine head for södermalm, there also happens to be the worlds greatest thai restaurant there down Skånegatan called Koh Phangan. Deffo check it out.
