Still looking for a Villa

I expect the reason you're still looking is that the figure you're looking to spend is roughly half what any semi- decent villa would cost at that time of the year

Without wanting to sound a bit daft but just out of interest, what makes it a villa rather than a house or finca and makes it worth that kind of money for a week out of uk school holiday time. I have a place in the country with a pool and land etc but never imagined it was worth that kind of cash for a week, someone enlighten me please!

That's not true at all. I've seen plenty of very nice places in that price range.

haha well you didn't tell johnnyf23 about them, did you?

I dont know of anything worth having for less than 4 ish K in the 1st week of Sept. and I know of plenty in the 5-9k range. I'm sure there is stuff around, but I wouldn't know where to get them.

I don't really know how you'd define a villa, fincas get called villas too. price is down to location, level of finish and how many it will sleep.

and it's only UK school times, the rest of Europe all do different things.

Depends what you're after but I work for Hoseasons so have booked a place through them. Worth a look maybe?

sounds right, my understanding was that finca meant the land rather than the house which would refer to the farm rather than the farm house if you know what I mean, that said, it is still important to have a house for the farmer to live in in on a finca!
I think a Villa is probably a detached house by definition but not needed to be on a farm., could be on an urbanisation.

Not sure how big you want a villa for but I used to stay at Casa Cox - right in the mountains near San Rafael - sleeps 12 - it was perfect and a reasonable price, think we paid about £250 each for late June/early July

looking for a villa also for june for a week to sleep 8. friend of mine sent me this info
