It's sooooooooooo quiet here The Finance Department is upstairs away from everyone else. I feel like I'm in a morturary I can hear all the chatter and laughter from the rest of the agency downstairs
Everything else about the job is perfect, the hours, the people, etc, but the people in Finance (there's only 3 of us) just DO NOT talk, and our FD doesn't like any music played up here either.
I've gone from working in a lively, chatty atmosphere to total silence

Becki, when I worked on advertising I was far from the rest but I managed to spend at least 15 - 30 minutes where the action was.

I just feel so lonely here! The part of the office we're in is situated away from the rest of the agency, and of the two people I work with, one's the FD and is always in meetings all day, the other lady just says nothing I've tried to start up conversations but they always meet dead ends
To make matters worse I can hear everyone downstairs laughing and joking about.
