Yep, well done to all the Chelsea fans. Without doubt deserved champions 8)

Also... will Rooney be out of the world cup?? 8O There goes England's (slim) chances of winning it if he does!
 
The team played well today. Great way to end the chase. Especially good work by William Gallas, the unsung hero of Chelsea this season.

Really sorry about Rooney, though Mourinho said during his press conference that he talked to Man U med staff and it looks like Rooney should be fine for the World Cup. (fingers crossed)

Also, equally important, it looks like the injury to John Terry from Rooney's challenge early in the game is just a superficial wound, though one that required 10 stitches. He should be fine well in advance of the tournament (knowing Terry, he'd play on anyway!)

Edit: looks like 6 weeks out for Rooney :(

Yeah, that injury marred what was until then a perfect day....

Fingers crossed but it all looks pretty doubtful now... (and Owen limping off yesterday was not good news either)....

I think it will as well. Liverpool and Tottenham have certainly done V well this season hoping Arsenal get nothing as the third best london team...

Fed up with their moaning....

As for me, I've supported the Blues for about 15 years, nuff said...

I agree... there are areas where Liverpool and Man U are as strong as CFC and if they start well it could be a great horse race. I was surprised Liverpool didn't take 2nd this year (assuming things don't change in the next week) as I had them picked for 2nd at the start of this season and last.

Tottenham, Newcastle, even Bolton and Blackburn all nipping at their heels so it'll be and interesting battle for 4th... oh, and there is Arsenal, of course.

I was going to post that this thread was a little premature and that tonight's game against Old Salvatorians is far from a formality. But then I realised you were on about that other league.

I'll let you know how we get on though!
